An old airport in south Iceland, the pole on top of the pyramid used to have a windsock on top but it blew of in a storm. The mist is caused by ash downfall from the GrÃmsvötn volcanic eruption. Visibility was around 500 meters. Looks a little like sepia toned but the ash caused this hue.
171-year-old ash in Schiller Park. The ash trees are in danger from the emerald ash borer, and might be cut down by the city to keep the pests from spreading.
The German Village Society is trying to protect them.
