This photo comes upon the suggestion of my Flickr friend, Jane.
I created a Valentine's Day Post card, using a selfie of me holding a heart-shaped potato. I sent it to Flynn, who held it up for his mother, Laura, to photograph.
Laura texted me the image of my grandson holding the image of me. I had Laura's picture printed and held it up on Valentine's Day, which is also Ash Wednesday. Therefore, the ashes on my forehead.
Janice took this image of me holding Flynn, who was holding me, holding a potato.
Happy Valentine's Day/Ash Wednesday! (And, thanks, Jane!)

there were wildfires raging outside gainesville while we were there. the air was filled with ash, eerily diffusing sunlight.
It’s Ash Wednesday again (note the ashes on my forehead.) I’m going to go on another SL pilgrimage this Lent. I want to expand it from churches to sacred spaces in general. I got all earth motherly in my outfit today, hoping to find a beautiful sacred grove… I couldn’t find anything quite like I wanted (any suggestions out there?) I ended up at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Second Life, which does interact with a natural setting quite well, I think.
I may expound upon my eco-feminist theology and how I believe SL fits in with the noosphere as these postings progress. Don’t worry though, if you like you can just look at the pretty pictures ;D
