The dull grey plastic Matchbox have a liking for at the moment isn't always completely inappropriately used. It actually suits this 2017 recolour of the Utility Truck and doesn't detract from the overall aura of realism which surprisingly purmeates from what is in essence a generic design. In this instance generic certainly doesn't mean unrealistic, its styling is wholly believable to the extent that had this being a cheapo unbranded Chinese effort I would have identified it as being made by International. Bought from ASDA back in April 2017. Mint and boxed.

Asda, already in Cwmbran at Llewelyn Walk, wanted a larger premises. They attempted to purchase the Post Office and its yard, for an even larger store. The Post Office refused to sell despite the cramped conditions of their sorting office, on the grounds that they wished "the main office co-located with the counter". Today the Post Office counter is in WH Smith and Rugby Heaven are in the old counter premises...

The multi-storey car park being demolished to make way for the store, was only built in the 1970s.

Biiiig brand-new(ish) Asda at Leith with one, single, solitary screw-down bike rack. Okay, I thought, at least it's sort of near to the door. Except the door that that person in the distance is walking past is an exit only. You've got to walk right round the building to the entrance/exit by the car park. I kept telling myself walking round that there would be bike racks on the other side as well. Er... Nope...

Asda are headquarterd in Leeds, so it is not surprising that they promote themselves on this large hoarding on Crown Point Road inthat city.

Bertie Bee - DVL 731 - put in the occasional shift on Asda duty. Here it takes on board another load of shoppers - and trusts that there'll be adequate room for their purchases.
