PEPE and NIKI are one of a kind handmade doll. Their body,legs and head are hand sculpted in Paper clay over a foil and wire armature and painted with acrylics and pastels sealed with matte varnish,Their arms made of cloth. Every piece of their clothes are hand sewing.
Project Flickr Week12 - Graffiti
We had to go downtown near the Art center today. I found some graffiti on the side of the building we were entering. Unfortunately there was a car parked next to the building covering the lettering so I just snapped the first part. I noticed the letters ‘ATF’ in several of the shots I took in different parts of town. Also heavy use of shades of blue paint. Must be some connection.
There are certain areas of the city of Lyon, France in which painting graffiti is permitted, and these areas are universally covered in the colorful and expressive works of talented amateur artists.

In Asheville, North Caroilina graffiti all depends on your perspective. Some see it as a serious problem, a symptom of society and urban decay. To others it is seen as a means for self-expression, a form of “urban art.” For many local businesses and residents though, graffiti is just a huge problem that leads to an unwelcome cleanup bill. This graffiti, though, was done in an area where it is allowed and there is no denying the talent of many of these artist.

Ammetto di essere particolarmente orgogliosa di questa pagina, mi piace molto.
Tecnicamente abbastanza semplice, solo tanti layer e taaante wordart. Nella maggior parte non c’era scritto “ART”, ma le ho pazientemente ritagliate..erano parole come “artisti”, “part”, etc etc.
Mi piacciono molto le ali sotto il doppio cuore…romantiche! Le avevo già usate per una pagina-tributo (che non ho ancora pubblicato sul blog), quindi con un significato molto diverso.
Anzi la pubblico in settimana per sottolineare come lo stesso elemento può avere una valenza completamente diversa in due pagine a tema differente!
E comunque..we love art!

The Budapest bath complex was built between 1912 and 1918 in the (Secession) Art Nouveau style. It was damaged during World War II, but then rebuilt.
References to healing waters in this location are found from as early as the 13th century. A hospital was located on this site during the Middle Ages. During the reign of the Ottoman Empire, baths were also built on this particular site. The "magical healing spring" used the Turkish during the 16th and 17th centuries.

These are commercials from the French magazine PIF, very popular here in the 80's. I had to cut parts of these pages and many just didn't survive, because looked at them all the time and tried to make my own barbie ctalogue with all the art I could find. It was the time before my first Barbie ( they wren't available here at that time ) and I still feel sentimental when look at them.

Most of my art has to do with layers of color and transparency. It has been tough to get the amount of precision that I want by hand, so I've started to do "paintings" in Photoshop CS5. This allows me almost infinite control and flexibility.
