There arew a few quirks that I've criticized with some of the Sigma ART lenses (AF consistency, for one), but image quality is never something that I complain about. This new lens (24-35mm f/2) has great sharpness, color rendition, and even pretty decent bokeh. I've done some layers of processing here (including the flare - the lens is not really flare prone), but the nice rendering is from the lens itself. Look for my review next week.

There's a Bad Religion song that has the same title as this image. I really like that band and listened to them a lot when I was younger, and still do now.
This pic is a little bit abstract, but there are a load of themes in here despite it being a really basic "build".
The most straightforward of these is the obvious gold leg facing the opposite way, hence - against the grain. The variation in colour despite the uniform nature of the legs, hinting individuality. The circle/loop representing cycles, movement, Earth, and linkage. The colour of the background was the most "earthy" I could think of to contrast the plastic. Also, I ended up going with the imperfections in the circle to reinforce the idea of complete/ incomplete.
Don't worry, I'll be back to my usual builds later this week. I haven't lost my mind, I just felt like a change :P

Again I used a photo of Obby looking at me from the chair next to my table. I inked, painted, smushed, glued, and stitched on an index card. This is the fourth in my cat series. (daisyyellowart.com)

I've been keeping a daily journal for about three or four years now. About 20 of them are in storage back in Texas. When we moved to England in February 2007 for a three year stint, I started numbering my books, beginning with UK #1, of course.
I finished UK #11 today. It's always bittersweet to finish a book. The old one is a dear friend, after all. The new one? Well, there's the fear of the ultimate blank page. But I find that as soon as I make my first mark, ahhh. That's better.
Spent a wonderful day on the beach this past weekend. Watercolors and ink in my watercolor journal. somanystars.blogspot.com/2012/01/spent-saturday-with-jeff...

My first attempt at smoke art; quite pleased with the results, ended up being quite easy once you have the right tools. And the edit in LR and PS is a lot of fun since there is no 'right or wrong' way this can go.
Take your time to look at the amazing street art around you! A friend of mine, showed me all these awesome locations in Oslo, Norway, filled with stunning street art
Abstract digital art, created in ProCreate (an iPad app.) I usually adjust images I create on my iPad in Photoshop or another software enhancement program, but this was created totally in ProCreate.
I had this app for months, but hadn't played with it much. This was just an experiment. I thought my image had a rather childlike quality that reminded me of a playful dance. I lived in Brazil for several years, so my first thought was that it reminded me of a samba.
