Lovely allium buds towering over the periwinkle-blue catmint flowers. Photographed on the East Terrace of the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines, Iowa.
Developed with Darktable 3.6.0.
The Hawaiian tradewinds returned with a vengence, and I was there to witness the sheer power of the ocean, from the Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
Just a simple tourist type Snapograph taken at Brighton Railroad Station Sussex UK of a train arriving.

A crowd of locals await the morning arrival from Sirmattura at Dholpur Junction NG. The train is returning from a nearly 6 hours out and back journey and ZDM5 516 will take over from its classmate. The Dholpur diesel shed holds 5 ZDM5 class locomotives, of which atleast 4 are operational, more than enough to cover the daily services. 516 formerly worked the Murtijapur-Achalpur line and thus wears an different paint scheme from the rest of the Dholpur fleet.

Thank you for your kind comments and faves !
This image is from a sequence that shows one of the many attempts at conjugation, both failed and successful, the pair of tree swallows tried in a short period of time. The failed sessions could be blamed on the strong winds buffeting the male around. This particular nuptial event was a success.
As with my previous post of the pair, you can see the wet feathers on the females crown. This is from the saliva of the male as he grabs onto the feathers to help stabilize himself over the female during mating. You can also see the saliva in the male's mouth.
Local Arrival
Ivatt 2MT 41312 brings a ‘local stopper’ into Bury Bolton Street Station beneath the array of semaphores on the signal gantry, on a drizzly and overcast Monday afternoon...
The Agas are opening. I couldn't resist the bokeh highlights with this one - bright patches through the forest just as the sun had disappeared. Some fill lighting from a Lume Cube.

Summer seems to have arrived early in Britain this year. It's not generally regarded as the best time in landscape photography world, but the winters are wet, cold, windy and seemingly endless around here, with only a few fleeting months of warm weather where we can enjoy the outside world at leisure. I'm prepared to live with the flat bland skies to be able to live in the sun for a while.
In the picture, my partner Ali catches up at last with her niece and the 4 year old great nephew from whom she's been almost inseparable since birth. While we're quite content to have lived in our own space for more than two months, she's definitely missed him.
Summer - keep it coming!
