The arrival of the migrating American White Pelicans is a sure sign that Spring is right around the corner. This pair was enjoying the sunlight on a cold day!

Something different from my usual style.

Pictures with cinematic look & feel.

Thanks for watching. Your comments and favorites are gratefully appreciated!

A crowd of locals await the morning arrival from Sirmattura at Dholpur Junction NG. The train is returning from a nearly 6 hours out and back journey and ZDM5 516 will take over from its classmate. The Dholpur diesel shed holds 5 ZDM5 class locomotives, of which atleast 4 are operational, more than enough to cover the daily services. 516 formerly worked the Murtijapur-Achalpur line and thus wears an different paint scheme from the rest of the Dholpur fleet.

Hope everyone had safe travels over the Thanksgiving holiday!

United (UAL1516) arriving back at Houston from Costa Rica. UAL1516, a Boeing 737-800 (tail N76516) featuring the Star Alliance Livery, even if not visible in the above image.

This image is from a sequence that shows one of the many attempts at conjugation, both failed and successful, the pair of tree swallows tried in a short period of time. The failed sessions could be blamed on the strong winds buffeting the male around. This particular nuptial event was a success.

As with my previous post of the pair, you can see the wet feathers on the females crown. This is from the saliva of the male as he grabs onto the feathers to help stabilize himself over the female during mating. You can also see the saliva in the male's mouth.

A Eastern Black Swallowtail Butterfly on a Zinnia! This is the first one I have seen this year. Still waiting for the Monarchs and Tiger Swallowtails. In spite of everything that is happening in the world, it is still a wonderful time of the year to be outside with nature.

The migration is officially in full swing when the Rose-breasted Grosbeaks arrive. This male had a beautiful song.
