This a quick stop along the roadside to capture the dancing Northern Lights as they filled the sky around the mountain and reflected into a small pond.
On a frosty Hoarfrost filled day, the daily M338 manifest train EB out of Waterloo, Iowa rounds the bend at Osage Rd enroute to Kirk Yard in Gary, IN
Ok, silly image manipulation time..
I was trying to improve the perspective on this one and also expand the best feature of it - the cobblestones painted by a car's headlights. I couldn't get the result I wanted so decided to produce a symmetrical copy and sort of liked the result (I think).
HSS!
It was great to be there some days before Christmas. I enjoyed it very much! Somehting to speed-down.
On my way back from the mountains, I went to a winery in Monferrato to buy a selection of wines and took the opportunity to go on a nice ring tour, in which there are the vineyards of that winery.

Just like the mountains, he watches over me. And the best part not another soul around. He placed himself in all my pics... It is definitely all about Rooster. I think he has me trained because we hike everyday rain or shine or he starts to whine incessantly. lol

CN 9523 has an incredibly faded nose as it leads a short train of baretables out of the Port of Montreal.
Is this supposed to be a warning to the parents that let their little kids scare/chase the local wildlife?
A bit of photoshop fun for Sliders Sunday.
Don't ask about the concept here because I'm not sure there is one LOL.
The base image was taken with an ND filter to get a long exposure which removed all of the traffic. The A380 is one of my stock one which I've used before. I tried to work with the proportions here where the wingspan is 80 meters.. Alas, the width of the M6 here is more like 45 metres (verge to verge) making the shadow's wing span approx 60 metres.. So, still a little short...
Anyway, thought it was (just about) worth sharing.. HSS.

Take care of the one you love,
Take care of the one you need,
Take care of the one who needs you most,
Take care of the one you love.
Take care of the one you love,
Take care of the one you need,
Take care of the one who needs you most,
The one far from home, the one that fills your soul.
Take care of the one that holds your hand,
More when it's cold. ...

I had an hour to kill this morning. I did not have my real camera with me, but got in a few iPhone shots around Middletown, NY.
