ANSBACH, Germany -- Military Retirees were honored at the United States Army Garrison Ansbach's annual Retiree Appreciation Day held Oct. 26 at the Katterbach Fitness Center on Katterbach Kaserne.
More than 200 retirees and annuitants took advantage of services to update medical and dental records, schedule health, optometry and flu vaccination appointments as well as meet one-on-one with representatives from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) on-site to address questions with retirement and annuity payments, contact information, banking and payment details, allotments and beneficiary information through the DFAS representative.
Retirees and their spouses were also able to speak with Garrison Leaders and department chiefs face-to-face to learn about the many community services open to them offered on military posts, not only in Ansbach, but across Germany.

In college I took "Art Appreciation", an easy class to boost the GPA. I made a B in the class but I earned every point. What was going to be an easy "GRAVY" class ended up being one of the toughest classes I've ever had. It consumed hours per day and the weekends. Everyone else just looked at me and told me, "wow do I even need to come to class to make an A". I still have nightmares about the class.
As tough as that class was on me I do have a better appreciation of ART.
Thank You Prof. Lindsey
