Hi Everyone!
I returned to the park where the nuthatches and chickadees will handfeed. That didn't happen on this very cold day, in fact, there were very few birds (or people) to be seen. The White-breasted Nuthatch was quite happy to stay on its snowy perch.

A drake Common Merganser gliding effortlessly along the waterway. I decided to lay up on the wet forest floor with my ground pod, hoping to get some good opportunities with these ducks. They didn't come in as close as I would have liked, but still managed a couple decent clicks. This is one of them. View large for best experience.
Thanks for all of the views, comments, and faves on the images I post. Your support is very much appreciated.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend~!

Based upon its horizontal perching behavior, I believe this may be a male meadowhawk dragonfly. I found it perched at the edge of Mud Lake, a small lake found in Leelanau State Park on Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula. Help with more specific identification would be greatly appreciated. I have found trying to photograph dragonflies that zoom my way only to immediately zoom off in another direction, very frustrating. So, hurray for perchers!

See below to appreciate how much the moon's location has changed in 15 minutes as it was setting over the Vancouver skyline last night
Yesterday the 26% illuminated Moon was in a Waxing Crescent Phase. Best seen in the west after the sun dips below the horizon at sunset. This is the first Phase after the New Moon. The moon is close to the sun in the sky and mostly dark except for the right edge of the moon which becomes brighter as the days get closer to the next phase which is a First Quarter with a 50% illumination. Comments always appreciated.
It is a complex mountain, with many ridges and subsidiary peaks, one of which, Stob Coire Sgreamhach, is classified as a separate Munro. The most noticeable features of Bidean nam Bian are the famous Three Sisters of Glen Coe, three steeply-sided ridges that extend north into the Glen.

Sadly I have looked this flower up and the best name I can find is trumpet. I don't believe that it is the flower's name, does anyone know what it is called?
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️
