Hong Kong is one of the most densely packed cities... and compared to Tokyo, the buildings are unbelievably high and closely-packed. I was surprised, though, by how old and grungy some of the apartment complexes were. They don't really seem to believe in building upkeep very much....
Completed about 4-6 months ago, the L14 is at 14th and Leavenworth. Formerly a vacant lot, after the cab company moved to a new location, and the rundown garage was demolished. I think it contains 45 or so apartments.
To be demolished for the expansion of the police station at Addison/Halsted. I asked Preservation Chicago about this and they said either this would be torn down or the historic police station itself. This building lost. Too bad it couldn't be turned into the hotel those developers want to build across from Wrigley Field! It's very close to Wrigley and looks like a solid old building. I have no idea what it's like inside.

Met up with other Flickr mates for a Flickr walk around Brisbane city. We met up a year ago and it's great to be able to catch up again. I've never noticed this building before, can't think why, it's quite lovely.
