Every year the late summer monsoon season brings a large number of Lubbers to roadways, trails, yards, etc. They can often be found climbing just about every plant in an area. The Plains Lubber (Brachystola magna) is among the more colorful of the various species and tends to have a nice blue hue to the top of it. Here is a large individual seen along the Mexico-Arizona border recently!

Megatibicen resh, I think. This is probably a "dog day" cicada, so named because it's so prevalent during the "dog days" of summer...
(Coincidentally, our dog considers them irresistible crunch morsels)
The weed control campaign is running at full steam since late April on the Hungarian railway network.
On the third of May, the sprayer unit visited railway line 142. As usual, the traction is being provided by MÁV Rail Tours (ex. MÁV Nosztalgia) for these trains, but unlike earlier years this time only the MDa unit is deployed on them.
In this image the train is seen arriving to Hernád stop.
This photo was taken a long time ago on the shore of one of the streams from which it flows into the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret). Students, during their annual hike, sit and play the guitar, somewhere inside an abandoned hut located right in the middle of the lake. Israel. Camping. The Sea of Galilee. Kinneret. River. Lake. entkommene Gartenpflanze; mir gefiel der Kontrast zwischen den lila Blüten und dem Gelb vom Löwenzahn.

This past Sunday I made a trip to The Flint Hills of Kansas. To photograph and experience the annual burning of the dead tall grasses. One of my stops was at Teter Rock, it sits at one of the highest points in Greenwood County. From this location I could see several burns in progress. With in a few days after burning the blackened ground rapidly turns green. Image made with a Pentax K1.
