After passing between Andean mountains and volcanoes at an altitude of over 4000 m (13 400 ft), the B-357 road from Laguna Lejía descends to the Salar de Atacama.
Salar de Atacama is a huge dry lake at an altitude of about 2440 m (8000 ft), located south of San Pedro de Atacama, between the Andes and, barely visible in the distant haze, the Cordillera Domeyko. It contains the largest known lithium deposits in Chile.

This is from a short break i did in at work. Just walked a little from the camp towards the west and relaxed a little.
ANDEAN COCK-OF-THE-ROCK Male Rupicola peruvianus. This male Andean Cock-of-the-rock is cocking his head to one side on the lower east slopes of the Andes in northern Ecuador at 3:24 PM on October 3, 2019.
This male was not at a lek.
Males on the east slope have orange plumage rather than the red of the males on the west slope [see www.flickr.com/photos/neotropical_birds_mayan_ruins/23216...].
The Andean Cock-of-the-rock is a member of the family Cotingidae and lives in the Andes of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú and Bolivia.

I was flying today from Sao Paulo to Santiago and I got this beutiful view of Andes Mountain. Realy the real view I think is imposible to express in the photo but I tried to my best and share it with you.
Wild ANDEAN CONDOR Juvenile Vultur gryphus. A bigger than life juvenile Andean Condor is soaring high above the ground at Volcán Antisana east of Quito in northern Ecuador at 7:22 AM on August 9, 2017.
You can tell juvenile Andean Condors from the adults by their overall gray brown coloration and lack of a white collar at the base of the neck and lack of white wing panels on the upper surfaces of the wings.
The Andean Condor is an iconic bird of South America having symbolic importance in many countries. It is very rare in Ecuador with a total population of only about 100 individual birds. In Ecuador, Volcán Antisana is the best place to look for the condor.
The Andean Condor is a member of the New World vulture family Cathartidae and soars in the Andes and along certain coasts from Colombia to Tierra del Fuego. The wingspan can be in excess of 10 feet (3 meters).

He aqui, un dia de lluvias, con los pies un tanto humedos y con las orejas más heladas que peo de pingüino jajajajaja ! . No es una gran fotografia, pero creo que capta e su magnitud a esta D-7104. Esperemos que les guste. Se reciben las criticas constructivas.

Anthony's poison arrow frog (Epipedobates anthonyi) - El Oro Province, Ecuador
One of the stunning blue and red Epipedobates from a population in the El Oro Province. I saw this species in a quite a few different locales but only one site where they had this beautiful color pattern. This species is restricted to Southern Ecuador and the Northwest tip of Peru. They live in a variety of habitats in the foothills of the Andes Mountains however despite their plasticity when it comes to habitat they're listed as near threatened by IUCN. Dendrobatids are unusual among frogs in that they display parental care, in some species it is quite advanced. In this particular species the male guards the eggs for approximately 2 weeks until they hatch and then the male will carry the tadpoles to a water source such as a puddle where he leaves the tadpoles and they will eventually mature.
