I Recently had the chance to do another fixie or fixed gear bike shoot, with a good friend whom I’ve been promising to shoot since well, what seems like forever, we had bad weather and things got shuffled around a little but these are the results…
Cheers to Eric and the guys at Gear Brisbane for hooking us up with yet again some amazing bikes, we didn’t get a scratch on em, I promise. But Eric is a great guy always keen to help out and work on some cool new interesting projects no matter what they involve be it a few bikes or well (I’ll say the rest once I’ve finished working on the projects). You should go into the store if you are close to the Brisbane CBD, or visiting from out of town, its an amazing store and I guarantee you wont find another store like it anywhere in the world and for so many reasons…

Thanks to all the girls for putting up with me and the summer heat and lack of fresh air throughout the shoot due to the location, I’m sorry the weather turned and we couldn’t be out in the open. Thanks to Lewis for the million stupid questions you asked that probably extended the shoot to another half an hour, and for dabbing the sweat off of everyone when needed, you are definitely the weirdest most interesting assistant I have ever had on a shoot buddy…

'ampm travel' was a promising start-up operator in Birmingham in 2009, initially running service 6 from the city centre to Solihull in competition with National Express West Midlands. Several Dennis Darts were turned out in this smart livery with route branding, and the company later went on to introduce more services and to add double-deckers to the fleet. This Dart had previously served at least four Scottish operators, starting with the Coakley Bus Company of Motherwell (hence the registration) and is seen heading out of Birmingham past one of the city's oldest buildings, the Old Crown in Deritend. It was all an uphill struggle, and ampm went into liquidation in 2011. (21 Mar 2009)

I Recently had the chance to do another fixie or fixed gear bike shoot, with a good friend whom I’ve been promising to shoot since well, what seems like forever, we had bad weather and things got shuffled around a little but these are the results…
Cheers to Eric and the guys at Gear Brisbane for hooking us up with yet again some amazing bikes, we didn’t get a scratch on em, I promise. But Eric is a great guy always keen to help out and work on some cool new interesting projects no matter what they involve be it a few bikes or well (I’ll say the rest once I’ve finished working on the projects). You should go into the store if you are close to the Brisbane CBD, or visiting from out of town, its an amazing store and I guarantee you wont find another store like it anywhere in the world and for so many reasons…

Thanks to Lewis for the million stupid questions you asked that probably extended the shoot to another half an hour, and for dabbing the sweat off of everyone when needed, you are definitely the weirdest most interesting assistant I have ever had on a shoot buddy…

Wearing the standard fleet livery 483 is seen working in Birmingham City Centre. The curse of the digital destination screen has struck again and as I no longer have my notes from this period cannot confirm the route being operated.

New to Coakley Bus, Motherwell November 1999.
Station Approach, Solihull, West Midlands.
AMPM are a fairley new operator on the West Midlands scene. Wearing their standard fleet livery 800 is seen on layover at Solihull railway station prior to operating service 6 to Birmingham City Centre. From what I've seen so far of this operator their vehicles seem to be well turned out on a daily basis.

The 14 is worked in competition with West Midlands Travel and Claribels. Always smetly turned out looks can be deceiving as the company later fell foul of the traffic commissioner and ceased trading.
