The Amex Stadium is home of the Brighton and Hove Football team, the Seagulls. The stadium has made the news for many years, not least because it took 10 years to actually get the go ahead as to where to build it. Personally I love where it's nestled in the vally of Falmer as you drive out of Brighton. Its always been one of my favourite sights.

Paris has its Tutankhamen Sarcophagus statue guy - Hong Kong has Amex Man. Spotted in Causeway Bay - Jai Day (so his profile on IMDb states) - dressed as the Amex Centurion. You know that he's the real Amex man because he was standing on a box with the words American Express written in red on it.

Amex encourages you to check your application status online, but sends it's customers into panic mode when they see “cancelled”.
In reality, I'm waiting on employment verification which I mailed in… this usually takes 1-2 weeks to go through, but in the meantime, I imagine that Amex gets a lot of worried calls.
At the very least, it should instead read “Pending”, or something more verbose like “Pending – Employment Verification”.
