Vehículo americano fabricado por American Motors Corporation (AMC). empresa creada en 1954 por la fusión de dos grandes monstruos de la industria de la automoción estadounidense, Nash-Kelvinator Corporation y Hudson Motor Car Company.
El proyecto de este vehículo nace con el principal objetivo de competir con el resto de la industria europea y japonesa de la época creando un vehículo innovador.
En las fases previas a su fabricación, estaba previsto que el Pacer incorporase tracción delantera y que bajo su capó se alojara un motor rotativo Wankel como el que se muestra en la exposición; sin embargo la crisis del petróleo surgida en la década de los 70 hizo que este proyecto se desviase de sus planteamientos iniciales.
Descubierto en la isla de Ibiza tras el fallecimiento de su anterior propietario.
Aurelio Antonio Iglesias Scott compró el vehículo y comenzó una costosa y larga restauración que le obligó a tratar la mayor parte de la carrocería.

The Army launched its Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Asset Vehicle with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Army Strong Zone as a prelude to Army All-American Bowl in the Alamodome Jan. 7, 2012. Cutting the ribbon were Lt. Gen. Benjamin Freakley, commander, Army Accessions Command, and Maj. Gen. Nick Justice, commander, U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, and the two futuristic-looking Soldiers who will display the vehicle at events across the nation in the coming months.
