Allama Iqbal Museum also known as Javed Manzil, situated at Allama Iqbal Road was constructed by Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal at the price of Rs 42025. The construction which is European in style was completed in 1935. Unluckily Iqbal couldn’t got much time to live in, it served as the residence of Allama Iqbal for only three years. It was formally declared in 1961 that the residence would be transformed into a museum for the conservation of Iqbal’s belongings and the exhibit of his well-known works and manuscripts. On December 1, 1977, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Sheikh Anwar-ul-Haq inaugurated this museum. The main purpose of the Museum was to project the life and services of Allama Iqbal, to preserve the personal belongings of Allama Iqbal, original drafts of his works, letters either written by him or written to him, educational degrees and Medals. This Museum also provides Guide facilities for its visitors. There is also a small library for research. There are nine galleries in the Museum. The Historical period covered by the Museum is from 1877 to 1938. The major sources of attraction in this Museum are Iqbal’s hand written drafts of his works, certificates and degrees. There are about six hundred items in the Museum and all these are donated by Dr. Javed Iqbal, son of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Iqbal museum is a worth visiting place for educational purpose as well as to discover the lifestyle of the jewels of Pakistan who served the nation to his last breath.

Shikwa & Jawab-e-Shikwa are such real beauties by Iqbal; Difficult to pick which piece in shikwa is better but this one is the best:
"Ummaten aur bhi hain un men gunahgaar bhi hain , Ijz waley bhi hain mast-i ma-e pindar bhi hain, Inmey kahil bhi hain ghafil bhi hain hushyar bhi hain
Saikron hain ke tirey naam se bezaar bhi hain, Rahmaten hain teri aghyar ke kashanon par, Barq girti hai to becharey musalmanon par" (There are other nations, among them are sinners also, There are modest people and arrogant ones also, Among them are slothful, indolent as well as clever people
There are also hundreds who are disgused with Thy name, Thy graces descend on the other people’s abodes, Lightning strikes only the poor Muslims’ abodes.)
Some famous portraits hang on the wall of Iqbal Mazil; The centre one is when Iqbal visited Cordoba Mosque in 1933; Later he wrote a poem about the mosque in Baal-e-Jibreel
The Tomb of Allama Muhammad Iqbal is a simple but impressive structure located in Lahore, Pakistan in the Hazuri Bagh lawn between the Badshahi Mosque and the Lahore Fort where both the grand structures (the Mosque and the Fort) face each other. The mausoleum is a blend of Afghan and Moorish styles of architecture and is constructed entirely of red sandstone which was quarried and brought from Rajasthan.

The word springing from the heart surely carries weight,
Though not endowed with wings, it yet can fly in space.
Pure and spiritual in its essence, it pegs its gaze on high,
Rising from the lowly dust, grazes past the skies.
Keen, defiant, and querulous was my passion crazed,
It pierced through the skies, my audacious wail.

"Someone is there," thus spoke the heaven's warder old,
the planets said, "From above proceeds this voice so bold."
"No, no," the moon said," "tis someone on the earth below,"
Butted in the milky way: "The voice is hereabouts, I trow."
Ruzwan alone, if at all, understood aright,
He knew it was the man, from heaven once exiled.

Mosque of Night (It’s Called Masjid Shab-Bhar – which means mosque made in night / mosque of a night
It is located in Shalimi Chowk in Lahore-Pakistan, It was constructed in 1917 when there was no India or Pakistan, It was subcontinent. The issue was that Shalimi Chowk was humongous place and in the center of Chowk was some place about 3-Marlas (Approx 270*3 Sq. Feet), Hindus Wanted to make their temple there and Muslims wanted to build a Mosque. This issue got fire and case was submitted to Court, British Judge ordered that He’ll visit the place on the next day and then would decide what actually to do, It was Law on that time that Graves and Religious Institutions will not be destroyed. The lawyer of Muslim advised Muslims that there’s only one way that if you build the mosque in the available night before tomorrow morning, because Brittan was also with Hindus due to their buttering habit to Brittan. Muslims had no resources to build a mosque and also in one Night, it was impossible but they have a power of Strong Believe on Allah. However they started to work aiming to accomplish their goal in a night. Every one contributed in it, He who works of Wood, brought its available resources and worked of Wood, Similarly everyone did whatever he/she could. Finally before Sunrise they build the Mosque, Without Labor, Without Engineers, Most important in one night they build it. The very important factor in building that Mosque in one Night was Their Believe “Emaan” The power of believe always helped Muslims in facing every problem and they solved it in seconds with the Help of Almighty ALLAH.

Mr. Riaz has been taking care of Iqbal Manzil for last 26 years; He and his daughter were kind enough to show me around this historical place which has now been converted into a museum and library. The house is now being maintained by Government of Pakistan. Although Riaz Sb has been putting in good efforts , I believe there is alot of room for improvement. This picture is the lower level of the house with the typical veranda in the middle and rooms around it. There was sweet silence and subtle light dropping in the veranda until bunch of chirpy school kids on their day trip entered the house and brought the whole place to life #AllamaIqbal #Sialkot #Pakistan

Allama Iqbal remembers Hazrat Bilal in this piece - "Reh Gyi Rasm-e-Azan, Rooh-e-Bilali Na Rahi, Falsafa Reh Gya, Talqeen-e-Ghazali Na Rahi" . Allama's portrait in his famous pose hangs on the wall of the upper level #IqbalManzil #Sialkot #Pakistan
Iqbal Academy Pakistan was established in 1951, under the administrative authority of the Education Department of the Central Government of Pakistan in Karachi. After a few years, when the capital of Pakistan shifted to Islamabad, the government decided to shift Iqbal Academy from Karachi to Lahore, as Allama Muhammad Iqbal, under whose name the academy is titled, belongs to Lahore. In 1976 the Iqbal Academy shifted to 116-McLeod Road, Lahore (old residence of Allama Muhammad Iqbal), and the Federal Government of Pakistan gifted a piece of land at a major estate in Lahore behind Avari Hotels and opposite to Faletti's Hotel, to build a state-of-the-art building named Aiwan-e-Iqbal, a monument and memorial in tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal. In 1996 the building formerly inaugurated by Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Iqbal Academy also shifted to the sixth floor of Aiwan-e-Iqbal. Iqbal Academy Library is one of the oldest and richest libraries in the world that have specialized in Iqbal Studies. Its collection of books on Iqbal studies and related subjects cover the major international languages as well as the regional languages of Pakistan. The back files of important and rare periodicals augment its book holdings. It not only provides academic logistics support to the research projects of the Academy but also extends research and reference facilities to a large number of students, teachers and Iqbal scholars every year.

"Khirad Ko Ghulami Say Azaad Kar, Jawanon Ko Peeron Ka Ustad Kar" Allama Iqbal - What he said during those times is what is the need of the day now within the youth. May we get the aqal , the vision as clear, as pure and the eagerness for knowledge as the great visionaries Ameen.....A youth walking among the portraits at the Iqbal Manzil. I wonder what drove him to visit this place.....? #Sialkot #Pakistan #IqbalManzil

(Bang-e-Dra-120) Jawab-e-Shikwa (جواب شکوہ) The Answer To The Complaint
Har Koi Mast-e-Mai-e-Zauq-e-Tan Asani Hai,
Tum Musalman Ho? Ye Andaaz-e-Musalmani Hai?
he love of ease, like fumes of wine makes sots of you today,
How dare you pass as Mussalmans? That is not Islam’s way?
Haidari Faqr Hai Ne Doulat-e-Usmani Hai
Tum Ko Aslaaf Se Kya Nisbat-e-Rohani Hai?
Nor Usman’s treasure‐chest you own, Nor Ali’s empty bowl,
With spirits of such great forbears, What kinship has your soul?
Woh Zamane Mein Mu’azzaz The Musalman Ho Kar
Aur Tum Khawar Huwe Taarik-e-Quran Ho Kar
The honoured of their times, they lived, For theirs was true iman,
You live disgraced, as having left the paths of Al‐Quran.

Aiwan-e-Iqbal Complex is a monumental conceived and built to pay homage to the Shair-e-Mashriq and Mufakkir-e-Islam Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The Complex is intended to serve as a centre to spread his message of continuous struggle for the glory of Islam, unity of Ummah and revival of Islamic spirit. The total area of the Complex is 42-kannal and major components of the Complex comprise a Conference Centre & three interconnected Towers (27-floors).
The complex has been designed keeping in view the local heritage and architecture. The facade attempts to depict Iqbal’s philosophy of uprightness and self-confidence. The slenderness of elements is meant to represent the delicacy of his poetic expression. A judicious combination of fountains, waterfalls and greenery, also, enrich the quality of environment and provide a measure of relief from the harsh commercial surroundings.
