Sifting through some old shots, I came across a few shots taken on an early morning stroll through the University of Chicago campus. I finally got to process a couple, with this one being Ryerson Hall. Now while it says on the building that is a laboratory, I have no clue what it houses currently. I don't often venture in to these buildings during normal hours and don't have access to them after hours, so I'll be left with my imagination as to what occurs behind these spooky doors.
Alchemists searched for a formula to change iron to gold. This plant in my garden changes raindrops to silver? L.O.L.

Psychologist Erich Fromm maintained in his book The Art of Loving that love is not merely a feeling but is also actions, and that in fact, the "feeling" of love is superficial in comparison to one's commitment to love via a series of loving actions over time.
In this sense, Fromm held that love is ultimately not a feeling at all, but rather is a commitment to, and adherence to, loving actions towards another, oneself, or many others, over a sustained duration.Fromm also described love as a conscious choice that in its early stages might originate as an involuntary feeling, but which then later no longer depends on those feelings, but rather depends only on conscious commitment.

This nude is painted/carved onto/into an assemblage of wood. Its about 3'x3'. Check out the detail next door in the stream to see better how the surface tessellates at different levels. This one was very difficult/fun to do. ;)
