This is a new image from my recently concluded trip to the Masai Mara region of Kenya. We watched this elephant approach a watering hole and then gradually descend the bank to have a drink and check us out. A very special moment for sure!

A lovely afternoon in the Manawatu / Rangitikei area near Rata. I've previously posted this image shot on film but also felt its digital brother deserved its time in the spotlight too!

This was taken on a tripod and if you're wondering about ISO400 I have used exactly the same settings for the shot as I did on the film camera as a fun comparison including the equivalent focal lengths of 645 to 35mm.
