This is shot from near the same location as my similar sunset shot - this one is on the other side looking east.

 

On the right is Farnsworth Peak with the antennas standing at 9,065 feet (2763 km). The peak is named after Philo Farnsworth who was born in Utah and is credited with electronic inventions that created the TV industry.

 

GPS is for Stansbury Island and not the exact spot of the photo.

To complete our visit to Stanley we return to where we began with those dawn shots of The Nut. Here it is in the late afternoon. Everything is so green because of all the recent rain. It's hard to imagine what this scene might have looked like millions of years ago when the volcano was still active.

This is a new image from my recently concluded trip to the Masai Mara region of Kenya. We watched this elephant approach a watering hole and then gradually descend the bank to have a drink and check us out. A very special moment for sure!
