I made some changes to the knight I originally designed for a chess collaboration changing the base and updating the armor to use metallic gray to give it a more authentic look.. I then modified the base to give it a bit more height and drama. This is now up for support on LEGO Ideas.
Sometimes you don't have to use fireworks to get an explosion...

This is the first image from my working Lego microscope. Made with a couple of Scooby Doo magnifying glasses and a light brick from the POTC lighthouse. I need to build the rest of the mechanism but it's off to a good start.

I've chosen to build a pre-school called "The Cloud".
This is a redesigned, custom version of the Lego model Creator Beetle (10252). A fun, technically challenging design. Uses rare dark azure pieces from three sets, original Lego chrome, and custom chromed wheels.
BELAKRYM BLUEGORGE, THE SILENT STONE.
(Summer Showdown series, Pt. 3)
This is my third entry into the #haonsummershowdown2 contest being run by @haon.brx . The theme for this week was "nature." As with my last six-week contest, I elected to interconnect my characters into a tale of adventure and triumph! For this batch of characters, I wanted to make sure they were a colorful cast, as well as fun and whimsical, as summer should be. The whimsy in this character was the idea of an individual literally made of stone somehow being light on his feet. Plus, raw earth often gets overlooked in the "nature" category of fantasy characters. Step aside leafy folk, the rock folk are here to stay! The character for this week is a Terrakin (homebrew) Ranger of the Monster Hunter Archetype.

There was certainly something afoot in the forest. Bramblebrook was often steered clear of because of its harsh and tangled undergrowth. It never seemed to bother Belakrym, however—the thorns were nothing to his hardened, stoney skin. As such, he was one of the only creatures that lurked around these parts that wasn't simple fauna. That was, up until two days prior.
Belakrym spent most of his life in the wilderness, studying monsters and beasts alike, and attuning to the earth and her cycles. He could sense disturbances in the environment, and had slain many a foe that threatened to disrupt the balance of the ecosystem established there. But the creature he had begun tracking two days ago was no ordinary pest...
It had enormous inky black wings, and a muscled predator's body like a hellhound. Its tail bore the scorpion-like stinger of some manticore breeds, but its head was even more monstrous... It had less of a face, and something more akin to an all-encompassing maw. Row after row of hook-shaped teeth lined its jaws, which it used to latch onto its prey. A mane flowed out behind it, like embers of shadow flickering off of its head. It might've been a twistedly beautiful sight, if not for the havoc it had wreaked on the forest.
The terrakin had been watching it carefully for some time, learning its habits and maneuvers, so he could know how best to oust it from his neck of the woods. He'd watched it drain the life out of those caught in its maw, and he'd watched it flap its powerful wings hard enough to generate a gust which could blow back prey. But the one thing he hadn't seen it do—notice him stalking it.
The Bluegorge name was one of little renown, and he was one of very few to have left their community. He'd always stood out a bit, and his family was always amazed—if not also dismayed—at his propensity to sneak about undetected. It was a gift he wasn't sure how he came by, but one that he thanked mother earth for over these last couple of days. He didn't want to face the monster before he was ready, for he wasn't sure he would walk out of the encounter at all. An inconvenience it was, then, to say the least, when those two brawny, bumbling idiots walked right into its hunting grounds.
A rebuild and duplication of my original 7TP I posted to Instagram a couple years ago. I also got some new led lights for Christmas and am still messing around with them, so I apologize for the inconsistent lighting between the photos.

Last year I spent a good amount of time and resources designing and building the Asimov.
I was really happy with the result and told myself: Alright let's build way smaller from now and don't do it again.
But after the Brickomanie 2023 convention, I was so impressed and inspired by two large ships I saw there, that I immediately started designing this new ship the day after.
This time, no concept art were used, this is a fully original design (except for the containers shape). I love to think this ship could exist in the near future just like the Asimov.
It could fit perfectly in the sci-fi univers of "The Expanse".
It was design to be fully Plausible, with full maneuverability truster and even heat radiators.
I'm pretty sure some of you will recognize the influence of some of the best LEGO spaceship designer in it.
I started the design in bricks around the containers. Then I quickly move to Studio because, let's be honest, it's really hard to iterate with something that big.
This time, I designed it in module for two reasons:
This way it is way easier to transport (The Asimov is a nightmare, requiring a custom made plywood box that barely fit the trunk of my car).
And could be expanded as long as you have the budget.
In this current configuration the ship is:

For seventy year, Holden built cars in Australia, for Australia as part of General Motors global empire. Since 1978, this was the Holden Commodore, originally launched as an 'Intermediate' sized car.
In October 2017, production in Australia ceased. Australia lost 'Australia's own'. Lost RWD, lost V8s.
There is a new Commodore, the ZB. Built in Germany by former GM division Opel, now part of PSA. The car uses a Turbo four-cylinder or naturally aspirated V6, along with either FWD or all-wheel-drive.
Underdog.
This is the name you give to a competitor who has a lot of things going against them.
This is the new Commodore. To say that it is struggling would be fair - the model now sells approximately 600 units per month whereas the final year of RWD Commodore (the VFII), the car sold approximately 3,000 units per month, placing it close to the top of the Australian sales ranking.
Is it a bad car? - No. But nobody cares anymore.
