I got home from work yesterday and I was sitting in my truck thinking about what to have for dinner. I got a call from an person and didn’t recognize the number. We talked and said she had the wrong number. She called back in a few minutes and said she was at my house. She was so nice and gave me a painted rock. I guess she gives out painted rocks to people and her theme for this week is landscapers. Such a nice act of kindness. Thought I’d share this with everyone. :D

A recent brake overhaul and service has been carried out and due to being downrated to 7.5t the Austin can be driven without an HGV licence."

Life is a balancing act. We all know that. There is work that has to be done and we have to take care of our bodies, but if we don’t take time to do something we enjoy, we will get depressed or anxious or just plain burn out. It’s a daily struggle to find the right balance.
This is my hobby table that is also supposed to be where I set up for photos, but right now it is overflowing with a craft project so I am having to set up my photos somewhere else. On the left are some Smurf houses that I am using for my February Alphabet Group project. I am featuring Smurfs. (It’s a really fun group, by the way. Every February we take pictures representing each letter of the alphabet.) On the bottom of both piles are stacks of containers with beads that I am using to make earrings. Then there are some craft tools, a book I am reading, some healthy food that I am trying to take time to fix and eat every day, my camera of course, a dirty sock (got to do the laundry!), a can of cat food (have to feed the cat!) and a watering can. (can't let the plants die!) And of course the dreaded “to do” list. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and every day it is a challenge to prioritize what needs to be done. Some days are “couch days” and I struggle just to fix a healthy meal, and other days I have energy and can get things done. I am learning to focus on what’s important and let other things go. I have also realized that feeding the spirit by doing something I enjoy (Flickr comes to mind) is just as important as feeding my body and getting the work done.

I counted 10 of these bright yellow side loaders in the Cleanaway yard, but there might’ve been more out of sight. At present these are the primary trucks handling the residential recycling service across the ACT. I’ve always thought these large recycle bodies look too big on a 4x2 truck =]
