An RAF helicopter on a rescue, or possibly a practice, just below the Crib Goch. It's not often that you get to look down on a helicopter in mid air.
Porth Helaeth
Roedd y Royal Charter, wedi gadael Melbourne, Awstralia ar 26 Awst 1859 am Lerpwl, Lloegr gyda dros 300 o deithwyr a 103 o griw ar ei bwrdd.
Ond ar 25 Hydref, wedi diosg rhai o'r teithwyr yn Queenstown, Iwerddon, bu rhaid i'r llong geisio am lloches ym Mhorth Helaeth oddi ar arfordir orllewinol Ynys Môn oherwydd storm anferthol.
Cafodd y llong ei chwipio gan y gwyntoedd cryfion a'r tonnau digyfaddawd gyda nifer o bentrefwyr Moelfre wedi dod allan i geisio achub y teitheyr a'r criw.
Am 7o'r gloch ar fore 26 Hydref, torrodd y llong y ei hanner a thra bo'r dynion ar y lan yn gwneud eu gorau glas i geisio ahub y rhai â daflwyd i'r môr, dim ond 38 o bobl oroesodd.
Porth Helaeth
The Steam Clipper, The Royal Charter, set sail from Melbourne, Australia on 26 August 1859 with over 300 passangers and 103 crew aboard, heading for Liverpool.
On 25 October, having left Queenstown, Ireland, the ship was forced to take shelter in Porth Helaeth off the north east coast of Anglesey because of a vicious storm.
The ship was battered by the elements throughout the night with many villagers from nearby Moelfre, braving the elements to try and save the ships' passengers.
On 7o'clock on the morning of 26 October the ship broke in half and whilst the men on the shore did their best to save the people thrown to the sea, only 38 people survived.

Dwi'n gwbod fod hwn yn edrych fel ei fod wedi gor-brosesu braidd. Roedd y golau oedd yn dod drwy'r ffenestri wedi llosgi allan yn llwyr a roedd gweddill y llun yn 'under-exposed' felly mi nesh i drio'i achub. Croeso i unrhyw sylwadau ar sud i'w wella
"Sequere justitiam et invenias vitam" (Dilyner gyfiawnder i ddarganfod bywyd), arwyddair Llwydiaid Rhiwgoch - anodd credu fod unrhyw gyfiawnder yn perthyn i'r difrod yma.
Diolch am waith clodwiw y gwasanaeth tan mewn ceisio achub yr adeilad.
Mor eithriadol o drist.
"Sequere justitiam et invenias vitam" (Follow justice to discover life), the Lloyd's of Rhiwgoch's family motto - hard to think that any justice qualifies the damage done here.
Thanks to the fire service for their commendable work in trying to save the place.
So incredibly sad.
Honnai Harri VII ei fod yn disgyn o Gadwaladr [gw. isod], a chariodd y
Ddraig Goch ym Mrwydr Bosworth (1485) gan gredu mai baner Cadwaladr ydoedd.
Daeth y symbol (yn ei ffurf rampant) yn boblogaidd rhwng 1485 a 1603 fel
rhan o arfbais teulu'r Tuduriaid, lle cynrychiolai dras y teulu o Gadwaladr
Fendigaid, ac felly eu hawl i arglwyddiaeth dros Brydain. [Dilewyd y ddraig
o'r arfbais frenhinol ar orchymyn Iago I, a rhoddwyd uncorn yn ei lle.]
Cadwaladr Fendigaid (m. 664), tywysog, mab Cadwallon ap Cadfan. Ychydig a
wyddys amdano ond mae'n cael ei grybwyll mewn cerddi darogan fel yr un a
ddaw i achub y Cymry rhag y Saeson. Roedd yn w^r tyner a hael, ac yn ôl yr
hanes roedd ei deyrnasiad yn un heddychlon. Efallai mai’r un ydyw â’r sant
roddodd ei enw i Langadwaladr (Môn).
