I could not find this car described in the Amberley programme. The London registration is dated from about 1926. AC's two litre 6-cylinder engine was introduced in 1919 and remained in production into the 1960s.
The AC-7055 was designed as a small, speedy interceptor craft to deter any threats to the aliens' motherships. It is highly maneuverable and packs a deadly punch with hidden ion cannons, but it is also quite fragile... Luckily for the aliens, they're cheap and easy to produce so they can just keep churning them out.
