Having absolutely no technical awareness at all, I am struggling mightily with this entirely new system as comfort levels have been totally destroyed...and I haven't even done anything but try to configure photos, editing, and Flickr into some kind of coherent pattern which will become my new habitual morning routine. In so doing, I'm getting beeps and buzzers galore attacking me from some unknown universe for no apparent reason; I have to retype everything numerous times due to the new mini-keyboard; and I always seem to end up entering some type of "no navigation" zone in which further progress is disallowed and I have to return to the start.

In any event, I'm sure understandings will be reached within the next millenium. In the meantime, gazing at photos like this and drinking a cup of tea helps to ease the pain. And I promise to quit whining henceforth...;-)

Absolutely nothing done to this

I absolutely love to photograph the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts building in Kansas City, Missouri. On this rainy stormy evening, I was scoping out some new compositions and spotted this view. The reflection was wonderful but the way the tree limb curves back into the center of the frame was just icing on the cake for me.

I believe, this is the most photographed house in Ahrenshoop at the baltic sea and I can understand that absolutely. This rough romantic, what this place is transmitting, was capturing me instantly. I nearly can feel the warmth of a chimney fire behind this windows and the taste of a hot chokolate while the wind is smooth joggling at the walls.

Ich glaube, dies hier ist das am meisten fotografierte Gebäude in Ahrenshoop an der Ostsee und ich kann dies absolut verstehen. Diese raue Romantik, die dieser Platz ausstrahlt, hat mich sofort in ihren Bann gezogen. Ich spüre förmlich die Wärme eines Kaminfeuers hinter diesen Fenstern und den Geschmack einen heißen Schokolade während der Wind gleichmäßig an den Wänden rüttelt.

This beautiful old Ketch was built in 1869 for my husband's great, great grandfather and this painting is a treasured heirloom.

She was built on the Hawkesbury River New South Wales and plied between there and Sydney - Australia.

Absolutely one of the saddest vibes I have experienced for a long time. I had the most awesome rural drive seeing all the almond trees in blossom and stopped by this old restaurant bar in the middle of no where. The parking lot is in terrible condition and as I walked thru the doors the empty sadness within was overwhelming. Not a person in sight. I wandered about clicking a few photos and as I entered the bar an old man was behind it staring at the tv unaware I was there. I spoke loudly asked if lunch was served. He struggled to make conversation and shared his kitchen is shut down for inspections. I dont think it will be reopened. Everything was in the state of neglect . Old age, illness and poverty have taken their toll. It literally gave me a headache and feeling of sadness.

I absolutely adore this little Pied-billed Grebe family. I've kept tabs on them almost every day for a week now. I want to adopt them but I know they'll be off on their own in no time.

This guy absolutely stole the show for me today at Irvine Nature Center. While not uncommon by any means, Hoodeds aren’t a species I get to see everyday, so when the short boisterous warble of the male rang out in the forest I was really excited. A species of the understory, they’re quite comfortable foraging at eye level and lower, although this can mean that they’re often hard to see, despite boasting strikingly yellow cheeks and underparts which contrast nicely with the olive back and, of course, the black hood. It was a pleasure to spend a couple hours with this bird, who was completely unbothered by my presence and was happy to sing and forage the morning away while I observed in awe.

Waiting for a lily to open its petals is like waiting for Christmas. You know it will happen, but you just can't wait!

Absolutely and utterly unmistakable orange bird with a zebra-striped wings, a Chinese fan of a crest (usually held closed, but often raised just after landing), and a rapier of a bill. Favours semi-open habitats such as heathland, farmland, orchards, grassy lawns, where it feeds on the ground, probing with its long bill for insects. Flight fast and fairly direct, with rather deep wingbeats. Unlikely to be confused, but flight pattern and round wings may loosely resemble that of woodpeckers; note far longer and thinner bill. Song is a distinctive “hoo...poo...poo.”

Draco thought about Skye's words. He realized that even though he wasn't a mythical dragon, he could still have amazing experiences. He could explore his terrarium, chase after his favorite toys, and even go on adventures with Skye.

From that day on, Draco was content to be the bearded dragon he was. He still dreamed of flying and breathing fire, but he also realized that his life was full of wonder and joy. And with Skye by his side, he knew he would always have the greatest adventure of all.

Absolutely loved hunting for agates on the sandy, southern shores of Lake Superior as I grew up vacationing there every summer. Then taught our kids to becoime rock hounds as we spent time with my parents in the U.P. and eventually inherited their lovely cottage there. Have so many wonderful memories of blessed family time on Superior. This photo, of the colorful agate, woven through the larger piece of quartz, came to mind when noodling on the "anything with A" theme for a favorite group of mine "Smile on Saturday".

I absolutely am enchanted with the Plankbarrow Harbor sim at Fantasy Faire 2024. So much so that I shopped the stores there and created this look! I'm going to be making a shape using these items so the details will be on the styling card. But if you shop that sim before the Faire closes on May 5th, you might just find a few things I'm using.
