Ai-Petri (Ukrainian: Ай-Петрі, Russian: Ай-Петри, Crimean Tatar: Ay Petri); (translated from Greek. Saint Peter) is a peak in the Crimean Mountains. For administrative purposes it is in the Yalta municipality of Crimea. The name has Greek origin, and is translated as St. Peter (Greek: Άγιος Πέτρος).

early morning in the vineyards of castle wackerbarth, dresden, germany. some of the most famous wines in saxony are created here. the small pavillion is called Jacobstein.

spring has arrived, the blossoms are breaking through.

Finally made it into the snow this week (immediately behind home so well within my permitted exercise area). It was glorious looking out over Wensleydale from the snowfields above Carperby. It was a shame the cloud went so murky but you take whatever comes your way. Happy New Year everyone!

Clear sky above Durham this afternoon. Headed down to the riverside to catch the sun in the best position for the autumn colours. Took the opportunity to get down to Durham ahead of the lockdown tomorrow.

I bought a set of spikes and set out for Edith Creek yesterday. As it turns out, I needed snow shoes! Sank to my knees in snow several times before I wised up and turned around and spent the afternoon watching kids sled down the mountain above Paradise Lodge. Oh to be young again. They close the gate at Longmire at 5:00 so I had to bolt before the light got good, but just as you get to my least favorite stretch of road above the Nisqually this appeared before me. I didn't have chains on so Gertrude got a wee sideways as I shot to the pull off on the left. :-)

While not a particularly dramatic shot, I liked this scene and composition, bathed in warm sunset light. I have recently began to explore above the network of trails which start from the Jordan area of Sedona. This is just one of several spots I plan to photograph, on my journey higher and higher up into this section of the Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness.

In November the Danube valley and some tributary valleys are covered with fog all day long. Climbing a hill is often sufficient to see the sun. This image was image near Gossersdorf above the Kinsach valley.

on my way from beautiful Greece to Austria

This evening the sunset is one of those that had to be photographed. Spread out above the West Welsh hills, a carpet of fire glowing orange and red as far as the eye and my camera could see. Photographed in 16:9 format and then cropped slightly.

This is a view snapped from a rocky outcrop above the log cabins of Strathech and Loch Eck. Middle left can be seen the mini-dam at the foot of Loch Eck feeding water into the River Eachaig. Both the loch, and the river, are popular kayaking locations of mine:.

.

This video starts from the beach in front of the right-most row of cabins and follows my paddle over the dam and down the river:.

“To dream anything that you want to dream. That's the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do. That is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself to test your limits. That is the courage to succeed.”

View of Baltimore City

OK the last I promise , normal dark trees service will be resumed soon.

The hill above, coloured green

The hill above, where is seen

The tree of love and of bliss

Where you share, a lovely kiss

That does thrill your tender heart

Makes your defences, slowly part

Against the tree that rises high

As the love birds , they do fly

Over the hill, coloured green

Where your passion is now seen

Pressed against the shaking tree

Where its seed is now set free

Somewhere above Yellowstone. I wanted to see some new locations in Yellowstone away from all the people. I found this trail that wondered through some of the hills and offered this great view.

On the way up to High Street.
