They went back inside after that.
Later, I thought since I was on the other side of the road, that I should have just smiled and waved. No replies, just smiles. Or maybe I should have went over and talked to the manager to find out why I couldn't take pictures.
Anyway, this was the second time someone got upset while I was photographing a building. A building, really?

Letter C
I have photographed the Char-Grill building before (link below), so I knew I wanted to use it for the letter C. I really like the distinctive design, plus the hamburgers and shakes are really good.
For those of you that are just joining me, I am photographing buildings in the Raleigh-Durham area for the abc project (a new letter each day). I am posting two images each day, one straight out of the camera (SOOC) and then later a final edited version.

Part of the waterway that is diverted off of Elk Creek in Millheim, PA. This water used to power some of the town's mills but now just acts as home to our famous Millheim Mallards and gives part of the town water front property.
This is my desk. Not my work desk but instead my writing desk. It is a cache of inspiration, never paperwork. I found it at an auction, and I actually "whooped" when I won it. A pedestal desk (it breaks down into many pieces) made in the arts and crafts fashion, it is one of a kind, I believe, since there are hints a skilled craftsman made it using salvaged materials. When I sit at it, I feel like I am home...

I decided I was going to begin an ABC project and had a totally different idea for my 'B' day. I think I may have even mentioned having a Bahama mama on the Bahamian beaches.....but oh well....didn't have a chance to take that. So, if I stay true to my ABC project and make today's picture a 'B' then I guess I'll have to go with Behind Bars in the Bahamas?!? If that doesn't work, then I got nothin!

This award was given to me as the IngleBean CoffeeHouse celebrated its first anniversary on February 14th. I was honored. Also in the last two weeks, I have won the lottery twice (something I never play ~ but the $12 prizes ~ netting $9 ~ were exciting) and a gift certificate to a wonderful bistro for answering a trivia question. Here's the thing: I never win anything, so it's been quite fun. Of course there is always balance and hence why maybe I am fighting this late season flu (and taking way too many indoor-last-minute pictures of the day).
So, I'm starting a new project.
ABC. Its where I take a picture of things in relation to the alphabet, in alphabetical order.
I've yet to see a group for it, so I started one, here, it's called ABC [Always Be Creative], and it needs more members!

When this building opened in 1921 is was the second public library in Durham NC. Today it is an attorney's office.

I've been fighting it all week. Stuffed up head, upset tummy. One of our kids has been home two different days with it, as well (20 of his schoolmates went home with it one day ~ isn't it nice that we all share?). So instead of enjoying a beautiful sunny and 50 degree spring like day, this is where I spent my time...
Myeongdong is normally a place for women to play or couples to be seen, so I was surprised to see two separate groups of men in a Starbucks.
So it got late ~ I had a great plan for "L," but this is all I got: a "Love Note" from McDonald's, inviting the predominantly college aged customers from the local Penn State University campus, to join them for a special night at their favorite fast food spot. (photo taken with my cell phone, which added to my misery)
