Brookfield Zoo - Brookfield, Illinois - Zenda is a male African Lion who was born at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido, California on 7/19/06 to Mina (Mom) and Izu (Dad). He moved to his current home at the Brookfield Zoo on 5/8/08. His brother/littermate, Kamau, resides at the Sacramento Zoo in Sacramento, California.

Exotic Feline Breeding Compound - Rosamond, California - Nacon the jaguar was born at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Louisiana on 5/20/02 and moved to EFBC on 7/24/03.
Nacon has fathered seven cubs with his partner, Annie. Two of his cubs, Rosa and Poncho (both born on 6/3/05), continue to reside at EFBC.
This photo was taken during the June 2016 Twilight Tour when visitors (age 18 and over) are allowed to explore areas of EFBC that are not normally open to the public. Nacon resides in one of the normally non-public areas.

Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles, California - Hasani (meaning "handsome" in Swahili) the Western Lowland Gorilla was born on 10/12/94 to Benga (Mom) and Gino (Dad) at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, Illinois. He moved to Disney's Animal Kingdom in Florida on 6/29/97. He moved to the Los Angeles Zoo with his half-brother, Jabari, on 9/12/07 as a "bachelor group".
Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles, California - C.J. (short for Castro Jr.) is a Sumatran tiger who was born at the Sacramento Zoo in Sacramento, California on 3/3/13 to Bahagia (Mom) and Castro (Dad) and moved to the Los Angeles Zoo in October 2014. He is the last offspring of Baha (who died on 2/10/16) and Castro (who died on 10/29/14).
He has four older siblings:
(1) Kipling, born on 11/24/06, lives at the Dallas Zoo in Dallas, Texas
(2) Emerson, born on 11/24/06, lives at Zoo Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia
(3) Taymor (a.k.a. "Larry"), born on 11/24/06, lives at the San Francisco Zoo in San Francisco, California
(4) Jingga, born on 3/18/10, lives at the Topeka Zoo in Topeka, Kansas

Turtle Back Zoo - West Orange, New Jersey - Red Pandas Sebastian and Jing Li are seen interacting at the entrance to the indoor portion of their enclosure.
Sebastian was born at the Greenville Zoo in Greenville, South Carolina on 7/9/02. He moved to the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia on 3/24/03 and the Knoxville Zoo in Knoxville, Tennessee on 11/29/06. He moved to his current home at the Turtle Back Zoo on 12/23/09.
Jing Li was born at the Kansas City Zoo in Kansas City, Missouri on 6/21/06. She moved to the Philadelphia Zoo in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 11/27/07 and to her current home at the Turtle Back Zoo on 11/13/13.

Exotic Feline Breeding Compound - Rosamond, California - Zeya the Amur Leopard was born at Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Kansas on 5/14/11 to Lischinka (Mom) and Kosma (Dad) and moved to EFBC on 11/7/11. She lived at the San Diego Zoo with her brothers, Primorye and Koshka, from 3/7/12 until she moved back to EFBC on 2/23/13. Koshka moved back to EFBC on 5/17/16. Primorye passed away from cancer on 7/7/15.

He moved to the San Diego Zoo with his sister, Zeya, and brother, Primorye, on 3/7/12. Zeya moved back to EFBC on 2/23/13. Koshka moved back to EFBC on 5/17/16. Primorye passed away from cancer on 7/7/15.

His brother/littermate, Zenda, lives at the Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois (near Chicago). Kamau is the father of a litter of 3 cubs born on 10/24/14.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park - Escondido, California - Debbie the Sumatran Tiger was born to Joanne and Teddy on 1/28/16. She has two littermates - Cathy and Nelson - as well as an older brother, Suka (born on 9/14/15).
Santa Barbara Zoo - Santa Barbara, California - Everett the Snow Leopard was born at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, Illinois on 6/22/97 to Yiet Yang (Mom) and Tocaloma (Dad). He lived at the San Diego Zoo in San Diego, California from 4/6/06 until he moved to his current home at the Santa Barbara Zoo on 10/19/11.
