St. George's duel with a dragon on the marketplace in Bryjów

Branch: West Valley..

Event: CLA Snapshot Day.

Description: The marketplace area in the front of the library, containing DVDs, CDs, new books, and other popular items.

In the 1950s/60s it was traditional for the children of Winster School to perform Maypole Dances.

Here are some children, probably in the 1960s, dancing in the Market Place.

Can you help to identify any of these people?

The building in the background was then Johnson's Farmhouse (Stoop Farm). Mrs. B.E. Webster was the proprietor of the small shop painted green at right.

Compare this photo with another one probably taken during the same dance by clicking on this link.

This place is gone now, thanks to construction works for either the new Downtown Line or some other roadworks... One can never be sure in Singapore, there's just so much construction going on everywhere, all the time.

I think there was originally supposed to be a difference between a Winn-Dixie and a Winn-Dixie Marketplace. If there ever was a difference, it is long gone.

Bolesławiec (German: Bunzlau) is a town on the Bóbr river in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland with 40,837 inhabitants (2006).

For its long standing pottery making tradition, Bolesławiec is celebrated as Miasto Ceramiki or "Ceramics City"

Lisboa, Praça do Comércio

Officially, the place doesn't exist--but on a weekend in Khavarosk in the Soviet Far East--it's packed. Alone in a crowd, a young woman carries her inventory--a single boot for sale (you like? she'll hook you up with it's mate, safely tucked away elsewhere).

Don't Come Around Here No More

"---Hatter: No room! No room!

Alice: There is plenty of room.

Hare: Have some wine?

Alice: I don't see any wine.

Hare: There isn't any. (Hatter and hare laugh)

Dormouse: No wine, heehee.

Alice: Then it wasn't very civil of you to offer it.

Hare: It wasn't very civil of you to sit down without being invited.

Alice: I didn't know it was your table. It's laid for a great many more than three.---"

Last night we pushed out some refinements to one of our products at work, Marketplace. Search UI improvements are above.

Newness is on top :)

What could be more simpler?

Another shot where I was trying to shoot a recipe-book style backing shot - small area tightly in focus to one edge, to allow words to go over the blurry, but (hopefully) interesting background.
