Common Blue on his sleeping place on a hill in the southern Eifel during the sunset. The sun went down in clouds of mist and was therefore not outshone. Using a reflector I brought the light to the dark side of the butterfly.

The Hücker Moor is a nice little lake in the Herford area (Northwest Germany). Peat was cut here more than a century ago and created this lovely landscape. Today the place is a great location for wildlife and worth a trip for the local folks in all seasons. Ostwestfalen, Germany

October waved goodby with sunshine and warm tempereratures and we used the perfect weather for an extended hiking tour on the Wittedindsweg, a crest trail on the Wiehengebirge from Porta Westfalica in the East to the Osnabrück area in the West. Before the sun went down we visited the most interesting spots of the Eastern part of the trail.
Hopefully the final snow of winter will soon be replaced with leaves on the trees.

On my last trip to the southwest we ended up passing through Capitol Reef and just our luck fall color was peaking. Bill and I drove the scenic loop and found these old wagons randomly placed around the central area near the Gifford Homestead.

February did not show up with good weather but the last weekend pleased with beautiful sunshine. We used Saturday for an extended hiking trip on the Peak trail of the Wiehengebirge in the Rödinghausen area. The watch-tower and the Bismarck monument were some of the landmarks we passed during the trip.

I am not a real friend of Winter days but there are moments when I love the mood, the colours and the silence. Hücker Moor, Ostwestfalen, Germany
This was one of the shots I was looking for. During a summer night while I was looking for a nice spot to frame the Milky Way, a huge thunderstorm over the plains ruined the purpose. So, what to do, just expose long, wait and hope, and the night, wasn't ruined at all.
My First night at Zion.
Everything we are and everything in the universe and on Earth originated from stardust, and it continually floats through us even today. It directly connects us to the universe, rebuilding our bodies over and over again during our lifetimes.
This was shot along the watchman Trail, My original Plan was to shoot the MW on the other side of the Watchman formation, but I was running late and had to stop here and shoot. If I waited any longer I would lose the core off the right side of the composition, so when I saw this fence I knew that would help with the layering in the scene. I tried to get some light on the fence coming in from the left but not draw the eye away from the Milky Way and hoping to keep the brightness visible in the galactic core, so this time I had a couple of subway napkins over the front of my light panel to dim down the foreground(a tip I learned from Wayne) and somewhat layer the scene if you will. :)
If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.

This is the tale of a wandering afternoon in the eternal city, Rome; I was leaving the Trastevere district toward the Tevere river, was the hour around the sunset, and the day wasn't one of the best I ever seen in Rome. But when I crossed the Garibaldi Bridge I've been hit by this view meanwhile I recalled someone sentence about me that bring the clouds with me during my travels. As usual I was with my loyal Nikon D810 and the wideangle; then, these are my clouds over Rome.
