Taken while standing in the middle of the vastness that is the West-Vigne Glacier (altitude 5000 meters plus) and looking North. That was the British expedition making its way South towards Ali Camp and Gondogoro La.
Broadpeak - called so for it's 1.5 kilometer wide summit - was initially labeled K3. It is the 4th highest peak in Pakistan and the 12th highest in the world. Yup, we got some serious mountains over here.

Fue muy sorprendente cuando una nube se cruzó delante del arco iris, eso sí que no lo había visto nunca. Es muy curiosa, también, la paloma que se cruza delante del arco. Fijaos y la veréis.
En tres días ha conseguido muchas invitaciones, entrar en el explorer, y 10 favoritos, muchas gracias a todos.
El día 7 de agosto, esta foto llegó a las 1000 visitas, la decimoquinta en conseguirlo. Pero, curiosamente, es la cuarta en conseguir las 2000 visitas, el 28 de octubre, y la segunda en conseguir las 3000 visitas, el 2 de diciembre. También es mi segunda foto en conseguir las 4000 visitas, el 30 de diciembre de 2008
El 18 de enero de 2009 consigue 100 favoritos, muy lejos de la siguiente de mis fotos. El 28 de enero consigue las 5000 visitas, mi segunda foto en conseguirlas.
Desde el 17 de febrero, es mi foto con mayor número de visitas.
El 23 de febrero de 2009 se convirtió en mi primera foto con 6000 visitas. Y el 15 de marzo, las 7000 fotos. El 6 de abril consiguió las 8000 visitas, el 3 de mayo, 9000 visitas. El 31 de mayo las 10000 visitas. El 28 de junio las 11 mil visitas. El 30 de julio, las 12 mil
El 9 de agosto de 2009 consigue los 200 favoritos. El 1 de septiembre, las 13 mil visitas, el 4 de octubre, 14 mil. Las 15 mil se me pasaron, las 16 mil el 6 de dic de 2009. 18 mil el 4 de marzo de 2010. El 13 de abril consiguió las 19 mil.
El 27 de mayo consiguió las 20 mil visitas, todo un record, pues tiene mas de el doble que el siguiente.
El 25 de julio de 2011 consigue las 300 favoritas. El 18 de octubre de 2011 consigue las 25 mil visitas. Casi dos años después, el 19 de agosto de 2013 consigue las 27 mil. El 9 de marzo de 2014, consigue las 28 mil.

In front of it, an imposing bell-tower rises with two orders of gothic mullioned windows and it is crowned by merlons.
It supposes that the bell-tower originary has been built as a vedetta tower by Federico from Aragon in 1312 and only later it has been used as a bell-tower.

Il nuovo gioiello storico-architettonico-artistico-culturale italiano è la restaurata Reggia di Venaria Reale, gioiellino barocco di Filippo Juvarra a pochi km da Torino, che venne eretta per la caccia sabauda e poi trascurata per Stupinigi e Racconigi.
Il restauro, costato ben 200 mln di € ha riportato la reggia ai fasti del 700, dove possibile. Forse dimenticandosi che la macchina del tempo non è mai stata inventata, si sono piastrellati nuovamente ambienti (come questo in foto, la Galleria di Diana) che da oltre 250 anni avevano un aspetto diverso (il pavimento a scacchiera originale è stato trasportato agli inizi del XIX secolo nell'Armeria Reale per volere degli stessi Savoia). Il risultato, seppur maestoso e affascinante, è una finzione, una copia di quel che era il vero castello. L'impressione è di stare a Gardaland o a Cinecittà, e lo scoramento di osservare stucchi ricostruiti e ridipinti dagli originali abbattuti perchè in rovina è stato piuttosto grande.
Il risultato è uno splendido scatolone vuoto, con poche sale rimaste intatte e originali, molte ricostruite e tante altre sede di una mostra sulla Real Casa piuttosto sciapa di contenuti.
Un po' poco per la reggia che ispirò i reali di Francia a costruire Versailles....
In altri ambienti invece si è preferito intervenire con elementi architettonici moderni, come nelle Scuderie alfieriane, ancora non visitabili. Probabilmente le migliori sale della reggia.

Cattle stop signs are a familiar sign on many of the NZ back roads, and are known as Cattle grids or guards in places other than New Zealand.
Note the bullet holes in the top part of the sign :-)
As depicted in the 1989 film, Ariel is the youngest of King Triton's seven daughters (being 16-years-old). She is shown as being adventurous and curious about the world of humans, a fascination which angers her father as merfolk are forbidden from making contact with the human world. Her best friend in the film is a fish named Flounder, and she develops a close relationship with a crab named Sebastian.
Ariel salvages human items and keeps them in a secret grotto as part of her collection.
Over the course of the film Ariel saves the life of and falls in love with a human prince named Eric. She visits the sea witch, Ursula, to trade her voice for legs for three days in order to get a chance to win Eric's heart, not realising that this agreement is part of Ursula's bigger plan to trap Ariel's father, King Triton.
Ariel almost manages to win the agreement by getting the "kiss of true love", but is stopped by Ursula's underhanded tactics. When the three day limit has passed, Ariel returns to mermaid form and is claimed by Ursula. King Triton trades himself for Ariel, enabling Ursula to claim the trident. In the battle that follows, Eric destroys Ursula. When the film ends, Ariel is transformed into a human permanently by King Triton's trident, and marries Prince Eric

The Adler und Wolfspark ("eagles and wolves park Kasselburg") lies just outside Pelm by Gerolstein in the German Volcano-Eifel on a steep hill. Daily there are spectacular demonstrations with free flying eagles, falcons, wouws, vultures and owls on a large meadow near the castle of "Kasselburg".

Het Adler und Wolfspark ("arenden- en wolvenpark Kasselburg") ligt net buiten Pelm bij Gerolstein in de Duitse Vulkaan-Eifel op een steile heuvel. Dagelijks worden er enkele spectaculaire demonstraties gegeven met vrij vliegende steenarenden, valken, wouwen, gieren en uilen op een grote vliegweide voor de "Kasselburg".

El bióxido de carbono y otros contaminantes del aire se acumulan en la atmósfera formando una capa cada vez más gruesa, atrapando el calor del sol y causando el calentamiento del planeta. La principal fuente de contaminación por la emisión de bióxido de carbono son las plantas de generación de energía a base de carbón, pues emiten 2,500 millones de toneladas al año. La segunda causa principal, son los automóviles, emiten casi 1,500 millones de toneladas de CO2 al año.
Sí. Aunque las temperaturas locales fluctúan de manera natural, en los últimos 50 años los registros demuestran que la temperatura mundial promedio ha aumentado al ritmo más rápido de la historia. Además, los expertos piensan que esta tendencia se está acelerando: los tres años más calurosos que se han registrado ocurrieron a partir de 1998. Los científicos dicen que si no se revierten las emisiones que causan el calentamiento global, a finales del siglo las temperaturas promedio podrían aumentar de 3 a 9 grados.

Playa El Tunco exclusivamente para practicar el surfing, muchos europeos y estadounidenses han quedado fascinados por las olas salvadoreñas, catalogadas entre las mejores del mundo para surfear.
La playa El Tunco, famosa por su gigantesco peñasco que antaño tenía la forma de porcino.
El Sunzal se divide en una segunda playas que lleva el nombre de la formación rocosa que todos llaman El Tunco. Dada la cantidad de personas que visitan esta playa es aquí donde se vienen organizando fiestas playeras o batucadas en las que se vive la música frente el mar hasta altas horas de la madrugada.

Luna (Moon in English) is a beautiful and elegant cat that I can see sometimes when I visit to my parents. She doesnt have an owner and she like to chase after pidgeons. Although it is just a game (because some neighbors give her some food every day) I always think she is a little hunter.

Luna es una bonita y elegante gata que veo algunas veces cuando visito a mis padres. No tiene dueño y le encanta perseguir a las palomas. Aunque es sólo como diversión (porque algunos vecinos le dan comida todo los días) siempre pienso que es una pequeña cazadora.
My personal favorite shot of the whole trip is this one, only because the sky at sunset had this beautiful orange glow as we drove through rows upon rows of Green Tea shrubs growing on the high plains of Shizuoka prefecture.
Pulled the camping car along side the road to get this 5xp freehand HDR shot taken in the afternoon on the second day of our 4-day camping car weekend.

Yesterdays sunset show many were talking about....here around Brisbane.
Hours before I observed these lines in the sky and was hoping it would hold on to that for a few more hours. I was pretty excited to get out for this shot and on the way home I knew I got a few special shots. This was the 3rd spectacular sunset in the last few days here in sunny QLD
My Tripot was knee deep in the water and I got Richard VERY close to my lens. Good on ya Richard!
