On a dark and dank December day, it is nice to look back exactly 9 years when we were visiting K's daughter who was living in Malaysia at the time.

Man, I'm really bad at this weekly photo thing, I feel like I'm apologizing each week. Well, obviously I'm a bit late again, things have been quite hectic for me. 52 weeks may equal 2 years by the time I'm done...
This weeks contribution is actually a shot I took awhile back when my method was still very much experimental. I'm pretty sure I used a circular polarizer for this shot, just to see what would happen. The blue in the sky was darkened as you'd expect, but the reflection on the water also took a toll I think. Anyway, this is what I was able to pull together with my current schedule. This was unedited aside from distortion correction.

232 294-9 fährt mit ihrem leeren Kohlezug am kleine Ort Golbitz b. Könnern vorbei. Seit diesem Jahr fährt die leere Könnern Kohle wieder ihren Laufweg direkt von Könnern nach Halle/S. Diese heute total kastrierte Eingleisige Hauptbahn lässt durch ihre dichte Belegung so gut wie keinen Güterverkehr zu. Von 12 bis 17 Uhr gibt es genau zwei Taktlücken in denen ein Güterzug von Könnern nach Halle/S fahren kann ohne das ein Personenzug durch den Gz im Block eine Verspätung bekommt. DB Netz im Jahre 2022....
232 294-9 with her empty coal train next to the little settlement of Golbitz near Könnern. Since this year the Könnern coal train runs empty over his original route directly from Könnern to Halle/S. With most of the infrastucture on this line castrated by DB Netz, there is not much gaps in between the passenger train to begin with....Germany in the year of 2022...

The Sd.Kfz. 9 was the heaviest halftrack developed by Germany in World War Two. Its large size enabled it to be used as a prime mover for Germany's largest towed weapons, as well as a tank recovery vehicle. Approximately 2,500 Sd.Kfz. 9s were produced.
