Struggling, today to get inspired but thankfully my wife was doing something with the needle and thread ... a stick in time!!
Going For 4 In-a-Row ~ 366 ....
Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... thanks to you all.
My friend Andy took me down to the amazing abandoned buildings down at Pier 94, but it's something I struggled to capture in general, though I'm happy with this shot of the silos - it captures how tall the are when you're stood beside them.
One of the things that's been good about going through all these photos is seeing where my strengths and weaknesses are. I struggled with wide context shots, which is what I tried this day - I'm much more comfortable photoing detail, but here I didn't really feel I had time to do that, and so it was a great subject I didn't really know what to do with. Something I now know to work on at least!
Nice and simple (and late) for my 365, today! On January 1st I told myself I would need to think a day or two ahead of the actual 365 day and although I did manage to do that for a short period of time I need to manage my "photo thoughts" much better than I am currently doing. I am tending to just grab an idea or a land sea scape and bang that's my 365. Must do better!!!
Nonetheless, today's 365 is a nice ray of sunshine ~ this little bunch of daffodils will be fully open very soon!

Seen here heading through Moredun.
Cameron Toll roundabout was closed between Peffermill and Old Dalkeith Road due to a partially collapsed culvert. This caused buses to take a long diversion up Gilmernton Road, through Moredun to the Royal Infurmery south bound only, affecting the 24, 33, 38 & 49

I drive by this little church frequently in the valley that I live in and am reminded of my faith in Jesus by these crosses.
This image shows the galaxy Messier 94, which lies in the small northern constellation of the Hunting Dogs, about 16 million light-years away. Within the bright ring around Messier 94 new stars are forming at a high rate and many young, bright stars are present within it – thanks to this, this feature is called a starburst ring. The cause of this peculiarly shaped star-forming region is likely a pressure wave going outwards from the galactic centre, compressing the gas and dust in the outer region. The compression of material means the gas starts to collapse into denser clouds. Inside these dense clouds, gravity pulls the gas and dust together until temperature and pressure are high enough for stars to be born.
