PictionID:43925440 - Title:McDonnell F-4F 37 94 JG74 May97 [C. Jacquet via RJF] - Catalog:17 - Filename:17.S_000981.tif - ----Image from the René Francillon Photo Archive. Having had his interest in aviation sparked by being at the receiving end of B-24s bombing occupied France when he was 7-yr old, René Francillon turned aviation into both his vocation and avocation. Most of his professional career was in the United States, working for major aircraft manufacturers and airport planning/design companies. All along, he kept developing a second career as an aviation historian, an activity that led him to author more than 50 books and 400 articles published in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and elsewhere. Far from “hanging on his spurs,” he plans to remain active as an author well into his eighties.-------PLEASE TAG this image with any information you know about it, so that we can permanently store this data with the original image file in our Digital Asset Management System.--------------SOURCE INSTITUTION: San Diego Air and Space Museum Archive
This image from the Digitized Sky Survey (DSS) shows the region of the sky around the RCW 94 and RCW 95 nebulae, seen here at the centre of the image. The nebulae are part of a larger complex of clouds resembling a bat, with RCW 94 representing the right wing and RCW 95 the body, respectively.

TA221 SN51SZC gets ready to depart Acton Green, on-loan to London United's Shepherd's Bush Garage working on 94 to cover VHs on loan to Park Royal.
TLA6 SN53EUM did work on this bus route before on loan but sadly it was withdrawn.
This image shows a cloud of gas and dust, shaped like a cosmic bat. The image was obtained in visible light with the VLT Survey Telescope (VST), hosted at ESO’s Paranal Observatory in Chile. The intense red glow comes from hydrogen atoms ionised by the intense radiation of young stars within the cloud.
The most prominent clouds here are RCW 94, which represents the right wing of the bat, and RCW 95, which forms the body, while the other parts of the bat have no official designation.

There's a Mobile Station and "Brady's Mini Mart just at the 395 and 14 split that I've always liked as I blazed by on my way to and from Mammoth. I was tired today and knew that a post-drive 365 shot might be difficult to muster, so I pulled 'the sled' over for gas and snapped a few shots of the station. Love the classic signage with red Pegasus. After the fill up the next 176 miles flew by. It's good to be home.

The Central Line was shut between North Acton-Holborn, so London United put extra buses on the 94, which runs alongside the Central Line for most of the closure. For the first time in years, low height SPs worked the route. They didn't have blinds, but they did have iBus, so I decided to track it down and ride it. It was a decent ride.
