Commuter project: Trek 930 MTB converted to classy commuter.
I always thought Ressurectio decals ought be reserved for bikes/frames that were heroically snatched from being left out to rust, discovered in obscurity or on their way to the landfill...
Alas this bike was none of those fore-mentioned fates. It was just sitting in perfectly good, original condition at BOCA on Cooke St. (a Triathlete shop that sells used bikes in Honolulu).
Entering service in late 1955 930 was built by Goodwin in Sydney under license from ALCO in the united States of America.
The loco and its classmates were popular locos running for many years and being used for many different tasks including hauling the Overland passenger train between Adelaide and Melbourne.
930 entered the Museum in 1990.
