Rarely photographed, Sh2-92 is an emission nebula located in the constellation of Vulpecula. This cloud of gas has a diameter in excess of 200 light years. The source of the ionization of the gases of this cloud is a brilliant Wolf-rayet star, known with the abbreviation WR 127. I'm starting to really like the street musicians of Berlin. This one was playing Bruce Springsteen and Eric Clapton songs. He has a great voice and really knows how to play the guitar.
On this glorious morning in June 1999, this Freight was the first of three northbound Freights within 16 minutes.
Grey liveried 92008 heads up the 10 mile climb of Beattock, near the half way point, at Greskine with 6S65, 15.19 Eastleigh East Yard to Mossend Yard Enterprise. This train was seen at 0929 on the 17th June 1999.
After checking my notes from the day, this train had 2 inspection saloons towards the rear of the train.

I managed to get this one in today when I saw the sun setting from home. I drove to where I took one of the shots for day 31, just for nostalgias sake. You can see the same basic composition of the road signs.

Honestly don't have any idea why someone put a DAF logo onto this truck, when this is clearly a Steyr. 92 Series Steyr trucks were built from 1986 to 2003, and featured a robot built aerodynamic cab, which gave it very modern look when it came out. Even 10 years after introduction it must've looked modern.
An XF-92 (a design forerunner of the F-106 Delta Dart and the B-58 Hustler) and a B-36 Peacemaker in a publicity photo from Convair showing the experimental delta-winged research plane next to the nose of the massive bomber. The size difference is really quite staggering. But the striking bit isn't just the size, it's the shift in design: the ultimate World War II-era bomber and the next generation.
