Thanks to the Polar Vortex, today's high temperature was -15F (-26C). I have to keep reminding myself that in three months, scenes like this one will return to western Wisconsin!
90015 heads north through Doxey on 0M91(?) Basford Hall to Stafford and back, after leaving Stafford 25/05/21. The loco has been out of use for a month or 2 after repaint and work being done to it.

Strasburg Rail Road workhorse 2-10-0 90 rolls into Strasburg with the last train on a busy July day. The “leaning tower of crossing protection” is long gone, and a runaround siding occupies its real estate

Naturalist Edward Wright concluded that all colors were present in this bird: the plumage has a wide range of colors except red, which is found in the iris of adult specimens.
It lays an average of six or seven eggs that both the male and the female hatch. They are hunters on the fly of insects, especially bees and wasps but also dragonflies and flies. They usually hunt in groups. Winters in Africa, south of the Sahara desert.
