Day 89 of 365 days.
Yeah, again. I didn't have time to take new pictures. I just got home 20 minutes ago. I had to stay after school for photography club and then went out for the night. It's been a better day. We had standardized testing which is so boring. ugh.
Oh by the way? Guess which foot is the nub. (Put a note on it if you know.)

I miss my mother so much; sticky, drawn out, anticipatory grief as she slowly drifts away mentally while still physically here. But she's still here, and there are still laughs. 89 years old today. I am not with her in person but she isn’t really fully in herself now either so we meet on another plane. I talked with her today and she lamented that all her old boyfriends have kicked the bucket [her words] and she's just not into younger men [!]. She didn't remember how many daughters she had, yet she knows her first love's name. Cosmic haha.

2014.03.30 - This was part of the list of ideas I had in mind for this 365. Most of them include self-portraits and this one with sparkling dust was one of them! It was quite hard to make it, since I was doing it on my own, I was using both hands, so no hidden remote control, and the dust was so thin, I had blow a full amount of it, to be at least visible!
But it was fun and I loved the final result!

I found this fella on our front lawn and thought "you would make a good photo a day"!
I really upped the f-stop so I got plenty of it in focus but as a result needed quite a long exposure as you can see from the exif data. Thank goodness for tripods!

That's my husband positioning his bike to be taken to the garage. We suspect it's the battery. If we are lucky and is the battery she will probably be back soon after Easter. BUT if it is a part that needs to come from Madrid we will be left without transportation for 2 1/2 months (it has happened before). Argh. :-(
