89. A tool
well, three tools, to be precise. a pair of pinning tweezers, a plug follower, and a number one Phillips screwdriver...
My heart aches.
Last night, my father went almost completely blind in his left eye. He only has a small slit of vision left.
Watching television last night, without warning, he left eye simply went dark.
with hospital and emergency opthamological visits, doctors discovered that fluid built up behind his eye and destroyed the nerves. Just like that, his vision is half gone. It's not likely he'll regain any vision.
There will be more tests to try and figure out the cause and hopefully prevent this from happening to his good eye.
We're all depressed and stressed.
This is the man who introduced me to photography and helped spark my passion for it. I am praying that all will be well and he does not lose vision in his other eye.
And to see my father in so much emotional pain is difficult. We're a strong family and will get through this. I love my dad and want nothing but happiness for him. And even with all my counseling education, I have no words that can ease his pain. All I can say is, "Dad, I love you."
