If you present someone with a single daffodil, legend has it bad luck may be on the horizon. Instead, deliver a whole bunch of them: a gift of several daffodils is believed to ensure happiness to the recipient. But that’s no surprise to us! It seems impossible not to feel just a little bit of joy at the sight of them.
Daffodil bulbs contain a compound called narciclasine. Scientists have discovered this substance may actually be effective in treating brain cancer!

17th July 2017 - Westland Sea King Mk41 '89+70' of the German Navy's Marinefliegergeschwader 5 seen here in the static park at the Royal International Air Tattoo. I honestly didn't think i'd ever see another Seaking flying so this was a rather nice surprise addition to the show.
U.S. Route 89 is a north–south United States Numbered Highway with two sections, and one former section. The southern section runs for 1,365 km from Flagstaff, Arizona, to the southern entrance of Yellowstone National Park. National Geographic named US Route 89 the No. 1 Driver's Drive in the world.

15th June 2017 - Mikoyan-Guervich MiG-29A '89' of the Polish Air Force takes off for a sortie at the Tactical Weapons Meet at Base area Florennes.
As you may guess we had quite a few attempts to pick from - this was deemed the best :-) The peak in the background to the right of the Schreckhorn is the Finsteraarhorn which is the highest peak in the Bernese Alps,
The first ascent of the Scheckhorn was by the Victorian climber Leslie Stephen and guides. Stephen had a number of first ascents in the Alps to his name, He was the father of the writer Virginia Woolf.
