OMG. The guy who does the ads for Las Cruces' local food co-op is HIlarious. It took some effort to narrow down which flyer would be my pic of the day today. Also, the allure of the Mountain View Co-op charmed $51.85 out of my pocket -- food for the coming week on the road. With things like green chili hummus, resistance was futile....
Allergies still nagging me. On a brighter note, Google bike mapping test #1 -- to the co-op -- was successful.

"New shoe" day to a runner is always a good day. With nearly 400 miles on my previous pair, it was time for some new ones. Oh how I love the sweet ride that Saucony delivers. :)

Seat of the Great Fire of London, which started in a Baker's shop in Pudding Lane on the night of 2nd September 1666. Fires were commonplace in London at the time and no-one took much notice of it at first; but a dry, easterly wind soon fanned the flames and the fire became out of control. It burned for 5 days; 13,000 houses were destroyed and 85 (out of 107) parish churches were burned. 150,000 were made homeless; however only six deaths were recorded (in reality, the death toll must have been much higher).
The Monument, which commemorates the Great Fire, is in the background.

So far this has been a really tough class, not just for me, but for everyone. There were tears all around today when we went over Channels again. But we did learn one thing that stuck with me. This neat trick in Levels Adjustment where you can set your white point just shy of the max (255) to say 245. Then set your black point to just shy of its max (0) to say 8. Then you can select the whitest part of your picture with an eyedropper and the blackest part of your picture and apply those values to it. Wow! It's like Tide Detergent. It really makes your whites whiter and your brights brighter.
Well, the lightbulbs were on in class, but when I got home, I tried to apply it to my own picture here. Not so sure I did it correctly and I'm definitely sure I over sharpened. But the picture does look better than the original. So I'm getting my $85 out of this class.

So annoyed with myself, can't come up with a design to paint and even looking at designs doesn't help. Also after I took this picture, I took off it off. Just going to paint them tomorrow..
technically uploaded on the day, just never made public until on the 27th.
Again didn't do much today, watched videos, played games and looked a lot at nail art designs, yet still can't paint a stupid design!

It's official, fall has hit Southern California.. you can tell by this tree. Of course it was 85 out today, Nov 22, so this tree losing it's leaves is the only sign of fall so far.
