A nostalgic look back to 2013 and late on a chilly Monday evening two Volvo B9TL Wright Eclipse Gemini 2's, both new in 2009 stroll along Princes Street near to the Mound.
331 (SN59 BFM) was originally one of twenty five buses in the 'Connect 22' livery which created much conversation apropos the colour when new.
927 (SN09 CVW) was also new in 2009, one of eleven Gemini 2's and the last group to be painted in Harlequin livery (926 to 936).

This bus was new to Lothian Buses as 840 in 2007.
Seen here at Hyvots Bank.
During the lockdown, Lothian Buses were running limited services with some not running. Some route extend inc the 7 to Western Harbour and 16 to Torphin and Bonally to allow the 10 not to run and reduce the number of drivers.
All routes were run out of central garage, Livingston and Musselburgh depots only, using madder buses which have screens to protect the driver from attacks, which were at the time used to protect the drivers and public from contamination. Buses were drafted in from all depots and used for 2 weeks before deep cleaning, meaning unusual workings were seen.

Makes your teeth shine like fresh snow.
Seriously though, I tried those High Poly Teeth (by Akzyra) that have been around for a while, and I really like them on this character.
Shading doesn't look 100% perfect, but then again we're talking Skyrim here. Just a quick snapshot here to showcase them.
Gonna tweak them a bit, but overall it's looking good in my eyes. Expect her to smile even more in the future ;P

ZSSK class 840 Unit 840 003 pictured leaving Rovinka halt* behind in the far distance, it's destination is displayed digitally above the windscreen - 23/06/2023. *It's really too small to call it a station.
In maybe 12 visits to the halt over a few years I have never seen anyone get on or off a train (except myself and my partner the other day - 1.70 euros on the bus to the main Bratislava station and 1 euro (1 EURO!!) on the train back to Rovinka, that's 3 stops, 15 km and 21 minutes), compare that with £4.70 Warminster to Westbury single with 1 stop, 7km and 7 minutes - take that GWR!

I had reason to visit the Reading branch of IKEA in November 2017. Its location on the edge of town sees regular buses with Reading Buses routes 15 and 26 using it as a terminus.
Here, Reading Buses Sky Blue branded Scania N230UD / East Lancs Olympus 840 YN07LFG is seen waiting for time at the IKEA store.
SNCF Class 141R 2-8-2 No.141R.840 (Baldwin 72961 of 1947) in black livery with a yellow stripe at the AJECTA Festival at Longueville Depot, 8 May 2023. It has boxpok driving wheels on one axle, spoked wheels on the rest and is oil fired.
The 141R's were built in the USA & Canada to get the French Railway system back on its feet after WWII when many French locos were out of service because of their complexity and high maintenance needs. Because of the urgency to get large numbers of locos to France, the 141R’s were based on an existing design – the Green Bay and Western Railroad’s version of the USRA Light Mikado designed in WWI. The first batch were all coal burners and had spoked wheels, bar frames and a plain exhaust but succeeding batches featured a Kylchap single exhaust, boxpok drivers on one, then all axles (combined with roller bearings), and finally cast steel beds which were immensely strong. Also oil firing featured on the later batches. 1,340 were built although 17 were lost at sea in a storm whilst being delivered.
Although crude and inefficient by French standards (Chapelon increased their efficiency by 20% with only minor modifications before they entered service), their ability to keep on going with minimum maintenance and under the roughest of conditions over appalling track with very poor quality coal (a problem avoided with oil) combined with driving methods that did not require high driving (and firing) skills that French engines normally required endeared them to French crews - surprisingly! Tellingly, they were amongst the last French steam engines in service. Czech 4-8-2s built in the 1950s were based on these and carried a very similar boiler.
