I found my tape collection last night. These are all the "real" tapes I have left of my childhood. Some of these I have replaced with CDs, I liked 'em so much. Others I feel are better left as they are. And the rest are now on my Amazon wishlist. I tried listening to one last night, but I am too used to the quality of cds now to tolerate this. Mind you, most of these have been sitting around for 15+ years, so it's amazing they can still be played.

I'm still considering going through the home-made tapes. Not sure that's worth the effort.

I know they named it after that harmonica-thingy, but it's hard not to associate the name with a certain mammary-themed restaurant....Just a thought.

I left the house today, thinking of all the things I had to do. Long commute, work at the office, school, the long drive home. I got in the car and pulled out of the driveway and then pulled back in, at the last minute thinking to run back into the house and grab my camera. I'm still working on my picture a day project and frankly, I am getting tired of shooting still lifes in my house at 11:00 at night. Eager for a change of scenery, I bring it in hopes that I'll have a chance to get something before or after class.

Just my luck, as I'm leaving class around 10pm, it starts pouring. I wanted to get some shots of a rundown Chinese restaurant around the corner, but there was no way I was taking my very un-weather-sealed camera out into the torrential downpour. So I sat in my car, started it up and then noticed the light reflecting off all the raindrops on my windshield. Having become a little obsessed with blur lately, I end up taking about 50 shots, playing with all kinds of light reflected off the raindrops on my windows and the rain-slicked streets. I've posted a few of them here.

Duran Duran - 'All You Need Is Now' Tour at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on 17-12-11.

A captivating close-up of a vintage 1982 Ibanez Musician MC-924DS Electric Bass resting in its original plush hardshell case. This bass is a prime example of Ibanez's golden era of Japanese craftsmanship. The Musician series is instantly recognizable by its premium neck-through construction, which provides exceptional sustain and stability.

The dark, rich body is typically crafted from a combination of woods (like mahogany, ash, and maple laminates), beautifully highlighted by the contrast of the bright gold/brass hardware and the uniquely styled control knobs. Featuring dual powerful humbucking pickups, the MC-924DS delivered a thick, versatile tone that helped define the progressive rock and fusion sound of the early 1980s. This image beautifully captures the instrument's classic aesthetic and its well-preserved, collectible condition.
