This afternoon we went for a walk, I'm enjoying the Spring weather a lot. Was aiming to photograph flowers, and I did, but how gorgeous and lush is the moss growing on this brick wall?!!
The last few days have been a little migrainy - I usually try to completely avoid my computer during migraines.
I'm a lot happier with today's image than yesterdays! Yesterday I just needed to finish and upload and turn off the evil computer.

Morning!
So, had a very nice day off yesterday, managed to fit quite a lot in too which is always good!
Started off by visiting the bank, was told to come back on Friday to have a face to face meeting as I want to keep an account as well as opening a new student one. Apparently thats too much to handle in one go... hmm.
After that I went down to see my Aunt and Uncle down near Ardingly. I stopped for lunch which was nice, had a catch up. They were pretty excited about Uni as my Uncle used to be a surveyor.
When I got home I had to ring the student loan guys to sort something out. Again, couldn't be done so I have some letters and forms in the post.
After that I had dinner and then went to Ikea with Mum on the Purley way for some late night shopping! Bought many uni things! Duvet, Pillows, Sheets, Towels, Cutlery, Plates, Bowls, Pans etc etc HAve to say, Ikea is a pretty cool shop when its quiet! Very inspiring feeling to it.
So I took this shot on the way back from lunch in the Ashdown Forest just off the A22.
I've seen a lot of ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) photos recently and I quite like them so I thought i'd give it a go! This is a little more extreme to those that I have seen. I mean, you can just about make out they're trees and thats about all...
I also used the lens at 10mm. Look at the distortion! Barrelling I think? I corrected it, but I prefer it with the distortion! Adds a certain 'Je ne sais quoi' It also didn't really work in mono with these vivid natural colours. So something completely different.
On the black and white note, check out this music video, the songs alright but I love the processing on the video for it. Go for HD if you can:

Also, I got an email from Photobox today saying sorry for all the hassle with my photos and they refunded my full order which is very spiffing indeed! Hats off to Photobox.
Happy Thursday all! Hit 'L'
High key Theme: These are my 22 month old's shape blocks. He loves to play with those and fit the blocks in the correct shape cut outs.
Also, thought that this fit the high-key theme.

Today has been all about ferrying people back and forth, and satisfying my creative urges. The latter has resulted in a prototype polymer clay ring.
Thanks to Deborah for pushing me doing macro photography. So much fun at the moment.

Unocal has been bought by Conoco-Phillips, which is wasting no time in destroying these iconic orange and blue 76 balls, opting instead for a flat red and blue circle. This remaining ball is in Clairemont, San Diego.
Class 76 on a class 8 near Crowden, taken from a brake van heading east in early 1978 whilst 'road learning' the Woodhead route. Didn't think it worthy of printing at the time but it conveys the atmosphere of that winter from the distance of 35 years!

Again, it;s not certain what is happening here - an 80-class set (possibly 90 from Coleraine) is waiting to enter Portrush, while the driver of 76 may be on his way to move the 70-class set. It is thought 76 formed an earlier special from Belfast.
