I told you I'd take a magical walk today. :) Must view large, small just doesn't show this at it's best.
I actually wasn't intending for Sparky to be in this picture. He was on the other side of the field, peeing on clumps of grass (much like what I'm sitting in... hmm, I thought the grass felt wet... oh dear) but then suddenly he came running over to me, gave me a great big kiss on the face, and then went on his way again. I love my dog.
Well I am off to visit everyone's photostreams!! I haven't done that in ages, I'm sorry. I'll try to stay caught up, more or less. :)

This is Stefanie, who, as it turned out, is a well known singer in Germany and Switzerland and her style is a mix of pop and soul. She is over in London to meet with producers to work on her fourth album.
We were out and about in Soho yesterday with Arnab Ghosal, Peter the Urban Scot and Colin Strain, mostly chatting and catching up, when I saw Stefanie walk past and immediately turned to ask her for a portrait. She responded in a way that I can only describe as probably the friendliest, most open response I have ever had.
We started chatting about London, her job, my job, people, her hometown and how she came to be where she is today. It was a lengthy chat and I concentrated more on it than the actual portrait, which on one hand was a really nice experience, but on the other, I didn't manage to entirely capture Stefanie's natural prettines - I am happy with this photo but would have liked to use one where she is wearing her glasses as that was how I spotted her. However, the light was quite bad and even with a reflector, the glasses cast shadows in the wrong places so eventually I settled on this shot without them.
Thank you Stef for your time and the talk, knowing your background it was especially nice to meet such a down to earth, likeable person :) Good luck with the album!

Jean-Christophe is a photographer I met near the Mont Saint Michel in France. I was up early to get a nice sunrise in a spot I had scouted the day before. I thought I would be alone in the dark, but two other photographers arrived ! Jean-Christophe is very energetic, ready to share his favourite spots and show his photos. As he said, we are not pros, so we all win by sharing.
By the way, it was so foggy, we couln't even see the mount !

I froze today! Them damn buses didn't come and I walked sooo far outside in the snow. And now I'm crippled and I think my body temperature was about 15°C when at last there was a bus. :p I was sooo glad. I mean, I could just lick that bus. But I didn't.

Am 06.07.17 konnte die raildox 76 110-0 an der Ellmühle im Deutzer Hafen angetroffen werden. Hier rangiert sie gerade einen Zugteil eines Getreidezuges im Bereich der Entladung.
In 2021 rijdt de tram in het Nederlands Openluchtmuseum te Arnhem alweer 25 jaar. Om dit luister bij te zetten verzorgde de NVBS een dagexcursie met als speciale gast de GVB 533. De GETA 76, een replica van de originele Arnhemse trams die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog verloren zijn gegaan, reed tussen alle diensttrams door als trouwtram voor een gezelschap twee rondjes over het tramnet van het Openluchtmuseum. In 2021 the tram in the Dutch Open Air Museum in Arnhem will be running for 25 years. To add to this luster the NVBS organized a day trip with the GVB 533 as a special guest. The GETA 76, a replica of the original Arnhem trams that were lost during the Second World War, ran two laps between all service trams as a wedding tram for a group over the tram network of the Open Air Museum. The SRA-76 started life as a Griffon. I stood a Griffon on its tail, rearranged the weapons and engines and used a different canopy. It still needs some work, but I think it is headed in the right direction.
