711 003/004 hat als 1273 "Istra" von Pula nach Divaca gerade den kroatischen Grenzbahnhof Buzet verlassen und wird nun in wenigen Augenblicken in den letzten Sonnenstrahlen des Tages die Grenze nach Slowenien überqueren. In diesem Abschnitt von Buzet Richtung Divaca beschränkt sich der Zugverkehr leider auf das Saisonzugpaar "Istra" sowie auf ein Nahverkehrszugpaar, das in Buzet endet.
Mit einem Containerzug nach Italien war die BLS 193 711 bei Hornussen am Bözberg zu sehen. Über der Landesgrenze sieht man bereits Gewitterwolken aufziehen.
711 003 ist als IC1272 auf dem Weg nach Pula. Bei Prešnica passiert er den Abzweig der Koperbahn.

Für BLS im Einsatz ist die 193 711 hier mit ihrem Containerzug bei Schwyz südwärts fahrend zu sehen.

I've posted this train in about 8 different locations between the time I first shot it as the sun came up at Rudyard and the last time I shot it here at Soo Yard. Train OTIAC at Sault Ste. Marie on February 20, 2001 with 711, 2004 and 6628 leading the ore. I think I have one more unposted view near Dafter I'll get to in a couple Thursdays:).

CN U711 rolls along the triple track section at Grafton. The recently extended CP Spicer siding can be seen to the right.

When we were nearing Atlantic, we heard the crew talking with the dispatcher about swapping with the crew on the BICB at Atlantic and taking it back to CB.
Now, apparently this was a more common sight a few years ago, but nowadays a BICB in daylight is incredibly rare. The icing on the cake though was pulling into town and seeing that they had put a geep leader on the front. Score.
The chase back to McClelland was a lot faster paced, as this train wasn't limited to the 18mph the donation train was. With that in mind, we knew we wanted to get him coming across at Hancock, and I decided to put the drone up to get a bit of a different angle. I just about missed the sucker hole on that lead motor as well.
Note the farmer on the right side. Thankfully he wasn't there when the UP went through, or otherwise he would have had to put up with the crowd of foamers gathered around his property.

Die vom russischen Unternehmen Metrowagonmasch produzierten Triebwagen der Baureihe 711 stellen in Serbien das Rückgrat des Personenverkehr auf nicht elektrifizierten Strecken dar. 39 Fahrzeuge wurden zwischen 2011 und 2014 in Dienst gestellt. Heute sind sie zusammen mit einigen 710, die rund um Zaječar verkehren, die einzigen noch in Betrieb befindlichen Dieseltriebwagen in Serbien und damit im ganzen Land anzutreffen.

The Class 711 railcars, produced by the Russian company Metrowagonmash, represent the main passenger transport product on non-electrified lines in Serbia. Thirty-nine vehicles were put into service between 2011 and 2014. Today, along with several Class 710s operating around Zaječar, they are the only diesel railcars still in operation in Serbia.
The route from Lapovo via Kragujevac to Kraljevo offers a timetable of two train pairs. The evening train Re 3813 towards Kraljevo was operated by Class 711 050 on August 1, 2025, and photographed at Knić station.
In the desert in nobody land during one of my Friday’s trip looking for birds, we found this while herd of camels (?), the baby camel (born few hours ago) was alone, when I stopped to take same photographs, a large male came running to rescue him and others followed; finally I found the way to isolate the baby with just another camel.
