Hello! Just here with a last-minute entry for the Play Date Cafe Challenge this week -- black and white with a splash of color. Needless to say, my "splash" was a pink Hero Hues blush print flower on the Wild Flower image.

Thanks for looking!

Today started like any other early day, dragging myself out of bed earlier than my body prefers. 7am and I’m up and getting ready for my engagement session with Brandy and her husband to be Victor. I’ve known Brandy for the past 10 years. She used to date my brother Cory and she was one of the first people I took pictures of way back when I had no idea what strobe lights were.

They wanted a classic, clean and beautiful look to their pictures. They knew they wanted them on the beach and I knew just the beach. House of Refuge and the un-florida like rocks. Now, this is a very overused area and I know all too well the 1001 ways this location has been used and the 1000 ways its been photographed poorly! I’m not going to say I’ve figured out the best way to capture it but at least I’ve acknowledged that it does take a bit of finesse to work. The Sun is best from sunrise to about 10am and from 2pm to about 4pm. After that the sun fades to far down the western horizon and the beach falls into shadow. We opted for a 9am call time to take advantage of the warm bright sunshine and the deep aqua blues and greens that the suns brings out in the water. This would give a very bright and light color palate for the session. The white and blues Brandy and Victor were wearing could be a challenge to photograph. However, I believe strongly in artificial lighting and wouldn’t think about choosing this location without it. Well, I would at the very least have a large reflector.

The F-71 Stinger Fighter-Bomber is an essential counterpart to any Resilient class carrier. Its power missiles are able to quickly penetrate shields, and wreck havoc among enemy fighters and small cruisers. In case of dog fights, it is equipped with a powerful engine which allows it to make tight maneuvers effortlessly; in addition to this, it has a swiveling turret which can rotate 360 degrees, thus making any approaches from anywhere futile at best. Its forward facing guns are less powerful than the turret, but no less menacing. They are used to pierce fighter shields, opening up the fighter to the ravage of the turret.

Not only does it excel in space, but it also works quite well in the atmosphere of a planet. Its two air intakes greatly increase the speed of the F-71, thus making it a feared foe both above a planet and in it.The F-71 Stinger is a force to be reckoned with and not one to be taken lightly.A big thank you to Nick Trotta for his great advice on this! Your comments and critiques really helped this build out. :)This is the fighter for my SHIPtember (or SHIPtober) build the Resilience. It'll be done sometime this month, so this is a teaser type build for it. :)

Constructive criticism would be welcome!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Kansas City Southern Railway F7 71 at Heavener, Oklahoma, slide mount stamped JUN 81. By matching the hand-written road number on the mount with other slides in my collection, it looks like Kodachrome by Paul L. Strang, Chuck Zeiler collection. Other than the number 71, the slide was unmarked. Paul's comments: Just to east of Heavener, OK shop on Y. This is the power for the Arkansas Western branch to Waldron, AR.

The book, Kansas City Southern in the Deramus Era, by Louis A Marre and Gregory J Sommers, states that number 71 was built October 20, 1949 ( c/n 7875 ) as KCS 71A, renumbered to KCS 71, renumbered to KCS 4057 at Shreveport on April 31, 1978, out-of-service February 11, 1982, retired September 13, 1985, sold to Mountain Diesel April 15, 1988

Christmas 2017, my first one crossdressing, by that time I only let my hair grow, and I had bought a pair of shorts and flats. My top was 100% male one, and that year was a mess because I had to deal with my family´s reaction when I confessed them I wanted to wear girly stuff. They said no, but then after some days, they let me wear some stuff in home, alone. ThisChristmas was my first time wearing girly stuff in front of them, I was excited and nervous, I put on my pantyhose, the shorts and a pair of flats I had recently bought, and went out like this with them, and after I got used to it, I felt gret, but well, I coudln´t take my hands off my legs, I loved how it felt

Interesting Facts: Avg length is 9.75 inches(24 cm). This bird is very similar in appearance with the Downy Woodpecker except the Hairy is bigger in size and with a bigger bill. The two species are not even closely related....(Wikipedia)
