Vi ser Namsos bedehus til venstre og Wiiks skysstasjon til høyre. Fotografen står i Overhallsvegen, ikke langt unna der Bastionen senere ble bygd. Vi ser Sverres gate fortsette til høyre for Wiiks gård. Her var det senere Riibes kafè. Huset inneholdt også flere leiligheter, noe som ikke var uvanlig i byens sentrum den gang. Til venstre foran bedehuset lå det en liten park. Bildet er publisert på Digitalt museum.
Slept in a bit too late this morning. But I'm off, so it's not like I was late for anything important. I was going to do a "whats in my bag?" shot, but I was having issues lighting it and being happy. Plus I realized after I tore down the set up the second time that I didn't put my passport in the picture, because I'd taken it out of my purse to take to the bar the other night.
Listening to (mostly) girl rock on Pandora today. It's making me happier than I might normally expect it to.
Have I mentioned that things feel really good lately? I don't really have an explanation for it either, except maybe that my meds are working. Also could be the prospect of making friends. So maybe do I have an explanation. Ha.
708 JHY was one of the BOC FSFs swapped for Western/Southern National FLFs. 2 were passed to Devon General. Section of FLF body removed, replacement radiator, paint touched up and transfers added.

Dort präsentierte sich der Stolz des deutschdemokratischen Diesellokbaus von der frisch lackierten Seite. 112 708 (Baujahr 1974) gehört der RISS und erhielt ihr reichsbahnrotes Outfit erst mit der kürzlichen Hauptuntersuchung zurück. Dahinter steht 112 331 (Baujahr 1971), die seit 2005 zum Bestand der Ostsächsischen Eisenbahnfreunde zählt.
Behind R 707 was lounge car 708, a car which was built for the South Australian Railways, was transferred to Australian National Railways service and was withdrawn in 1981. Seemingly converted to a lounge car in the late 1980's, it ended up in the hands of Northern Rivers Railroad of NSW who ran it on a "Ritz Rail" tourist service between Murwillumbah and Byron Bay. Later NRR was bought out by Queensland Rail, the car was bought by a private consortium and then by a member of 707 Operations. Converted (back?) to Broad Gauge bogies, the car has only entered service with 707 Operations in 2013 and has a rather striking but not elegant Art Deco interior. Passengers couldn't book spaces in the car but anyone was welcome to go down there and purchase what was on offer in the bar, making it the busiest carriage on the train that day.
