Per quanto le sue attività si concentrino nelle aree della ex Germania orientale, non è raro poter ammirare i convogli della MEG anche in Baviera. In questo caso la MEG.708, la Br155.046 è da poco ripartita da Regensburg al traino di un convoglio intermodale proveniente dal Donauport in viaggio verso Norimberga nei pressi dell'abitato di Laaber. An einem klaren Abend lichtete ich 2442 708 als RB 5532 (Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Pfronten-Steinach) vor der Kulisse der Mieminger Kette bei Lähn ab. Der höchste Berg dieses Gebirges ist der Hochplattig mit 2768 Metern. Auf dem Bild versteckt sich der ungefähr in der Bildmitte liegende Gipfel aber unter einer Wolke.

D1 708 is ready to depart as train 826 towards Ungheni. The train will depart at 18:31 and drives three times a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. THe train is used by passangers who get on in the morning in the villages near Ungheni to go to Chisinau. In Chisinau they are selling fruits, vegetables and flowers from there gardens and travel back in the evening.
The D1 is a series of a four unit DMU produced by the Hungarian company Ganz-MAVAG in the 1960-1980's. Nowaday the 708 is the only one in opreration and has lost the two intermediate units.
