Big nostalgia for me.

I bloody loved these. Unreliable yes, but also hellfire! I recall I even filmed the following journey (rare for me!) but as the SD card corrupted not sure I can recover the footage. Memories however, never die.

I'm surprised I hadn't uploaded this photo nearer the time I took it, but better late than never!

Oh yeah, and this was the last day of R2 departing from Petts Wood as well.

While the other railfans I was with were still deep asleep at the hotel, I made a morning walk down to Byers Canyon to shoot some morning freights. The horn blaring around the corner didn't give me much time to set up, but I made the best of it.
