Central Michigan #2014 and Huron & Eastern #2668 rumble through Zilwaukee (Milwaukee's lesser-known evil twin) with a large, 110 car 702 for Durand. Usually the assigned power for the 740 local, seeing the #2014 on "The Rocket" was a bit unusual at this time.

Am 05. Oktober 2024 fand im kleinen Rahmen eine privat organisierte Fotofahrt auf der Mainschleifenbahn zwischen Seligenstadt bei Würzburg und Volkach-Astheim statt. Das Wetter war ziemlich wechselhaft, weshalb leider nicht jedes Motiv mit Sonne gelang. Eines der Top Motive der Strecke, der Silo in Prosselsheim konnte aber mit Sonne und dem 796 702 umgesetzt werden.

Az élet viszont addig sem áll meg: a PFT-brigád tagjai köveket pakolnak egy talicskába (a hatékonyság jegyében ketten), a fűtőházra vigyázó biztonsági őr összehúzott szemöldökkel méregeti a fotósokat – de a képbe nem áll bele –, a városlakók pedig tudomást sem vesznek Albánia egyetlen rendszeresen közlekedő tehervonatáról.

There's a long, complicated (and hilarious) history of the origins of the park. It's a very interesting place to visit. And a very tiny, yet important piece of that historical puzzle is of John Cunningham's Cabin. The cabin has been reconstructed; the original was built back in the late 1800's and didn't survive. This cabin has been the scene of a shootout between horse thieves and a posse, used as a fort during a period of tension between Jackson's hole and the Bannack tribe, and more commonly known as part of a farming enterprise by Mr. Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham originally fell unto the Tetons as a hunter/trapper, mid-lifed the area as a farmer and left as a conservationist. But the photograph speaks for itself. What a view.
